Title
Genius Liar Son And Father Tamper With Evidence In Stepmother’s Death
Description
Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation.
The Background
Dee Ann Warner (née Hardy), age 52, was a mother of five living in Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, with her husband Dale John Warner and their young child; she had adult children from a prior marriage.
Dale Warner was her second husband; family members (including daughter Rikkell Bock) described the relationship as extremely toxic, involving alleged domestic violence, stalking, and a tracking device on her car.
Jaron Warner is Dale’s son and Dee’s stepson.
Reported motive centered on the abusive marital relationship (no separate financial motive was the primary focus in verified reports of the conviction).
The Crime
Dee Warner disappeared on or about the night of April 24–25, 2021, from the family property on Munger Road in Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan; she was last known to have planned to meet her husband, her phone/bank/social media activity ceased, and she was never seen leaving the property on camera.
Prosecutors established at trial that Dale Warner killed her in April 2021.
Her body was concealed inside a rewelded anhydrous ammonia (fertilizer) tank (tank #34) on a related Paragon Road property; remains were found wrapped in a tarp, in pajamas, with face and neck duct-taped.
Calculated planning/tampering included cutting the tank open with an abrasive cutoff wheel, rewelding it (gas metal arc welding), tagging it as unusable, and later moving it with heavy equipment.
The Investigation
Initial response: Days after the disappearance, Dale told officers it was not unusual for Dee to leave; body-camera footage showed him acting nonchalantly; possible welding burns were noted on his arms.
Extensive searches of fields and properties from 2021–2023 yielded no body; Michigan State Police took over the case (around 2022–2023).
Key digital evidence: Dale’s iPad search in May 2021 for “how to dispose of a thousand-gallon propane tank”; surveillance from April 25, 2021, showing him gathering welding supplies.
Physical evidence: Rewelded tank located via search warrant after digital leads; X-ray/camera inspection revealed remains; Dale’s fingerprint on an ammonia sticker; welding expert confirmation matching tools/processes used; Dale moved the tank with a JCB excavator while officers were present after being told cadaver dogs were coming.
Remains discovered August 16–17, 2024, on the Paragon Road property; dental records confirmed identity.
Dale was arrested and charged with murder and evidence tampering in November 2023 (before body recovery).
Jaron Warner was arrested in March 2025 on charges of evidence tampering and accessory after the fact; charges were dismissed in May 2025 (prosecutors cited inability to locate a witness; charges could potentially be refiled).
Inconsistencies included Dale’s early statements minimizing the disappearance and later claims (e.g., suggesting Dee was with a drug cartel in Jamaica in some proceedings).
Conviction and Sentencing
Dale Warner’s jury trial resulted in a guilty verdict on March 10, 2026, for second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
Sentencing on May 7, 2026 (Lenawee County Judge Michael R. Olsaver): 31 years and 3 months (375 months) to 60 years for second-degree murder, plus 17 months to 10 years for evidence tampering, consecutive; credit for approximately 898 days served.
Jaron Warner: No conviction; all charges dismissed in May 2025
