Getting a YouTube API Key
  1. Go to the Google Developers Console
  2. Create a new project or select an existing one
  3. Enable the YouTube Data API v3
  4. Create credentials (API key)
  5. Copy the API key and paste it in the form
API Quotas

The YouTube Data API has daily quotas. Each API request consumes quota points:

  • List channel: 1 unit
  • List videos: 1 unit per video
  • Video details: 1 unit per video

Free tier typically provides 10,000 units per day.
