Law Enforcement Shoots Down Unregulated Concealed Carry

Milwaukee Police Chief Edward A. Flynn with Milwaukee County District AttorneyJohn Chisholm implored Wis. Gov. Scott Walker to add a permitting system along with felony charges for those without a permit, to proposed concealed carry legislation. Concealed Carry is working its way through the state legislature but it should not signal open season on police officers. With 2 officer-involved shootings in a week, criminals are showing a willingness to carry and to engage in gun battle with the police. Currently, with CCW as a misdemeanor only, it is more dangerous for the criminals not to carry than to carry. We want to change the mental calculus of those criminals.
