Ahead of May Day Events

This May Day we’re preparing for multiple events across Portland. We’re coordinating with event organizers and city partners, including fire, emergency management, traffic, and regional agencies. Our goal is to support safe, peaceful events where people can exercise their First Amendment rights. Officers will be present to help facilitate, including traffic support for marches. We do not anticipate issues, but resources are in place if needed. Enforcement will be focused only on criminal activity. Expect varying crowd sizes throughout the day.
