Title
Firearm Safety
Description
On Friday, July 15, 2022, a residential search warrant was executed on the 3300 block of N. Vel R. Phillips Ave.
During surveillance of the residence, the officers observed an utter disregard for the safety of the children in the house. The subject of the warrant was sitting on the step and had his firearm (Glock with a high-capacity drum magazine) on the ground next to a young child.
Milwaukee Police recovered three high capacity loaded handguns, all with high capacity magazines, marijuana and cocaine.
The subject was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, use of a dangerous weapon and 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Milwaukee Police are actively working to keep all community members safe, which includes preventing children from being injured through reckless handling of firearms.
Keep Firearms out of Children's Hands! Make sure your firearm is in a safe place and not in a location a child could get it. Use a gun lock!
