Inside PPB’s Human Trafficking Unit

In this episode of Talking Beat, PPB’s recruiting podcast, members of the Human Trafficking Unit discuss the teamwork, patience, and partnerships behind this important work. The unit works with patrol officers, victim advocates, medical partners, and community-based organizations to identify trafficking, support survivors, and connect people with resources. The conversation also offers a look at one of the many specialized career paths available within the Portland Police Bureau. For people interested in service, investigations, victim support, and long-term problem solving, this work shows how officers can make a meaningful difference in the lives of community members. Community members can help by learning the signs of trafficking, checking in with young people, and reporting concerns when something does not seem right. For those considering a career in law enforcement, this episode highlights how joining PPB can be an opportunity to serve, support survivors, and help improve safety in Portland. https://www.joinportlandpolice.com
