At one point, she told officers, “My dad is a retired police chief,” apparently believing the connection would change how officers handled the situation. Instead, officers continued their investigation and warned her about interfering. The situation eventually escalated when officers attempted to place her under arrest for obstruction and resistance. Officers later accused the woman of kicking and scratching law enforcement personnel during the arrest. She was ultimately transported to the Orange County Jail and charged with two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer without violence.
