MPD Encourages Safe Celebrating

Everyone's a little Irish during the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Milwaukee happening over the next two weekends, and the Milwaukee Police Department is encouraging responsible celebrating. Many of Milwaukee's best entertainment districts are surrounded by great neighborhoods. Please be respectful of the neighbors. Designate one person in your group to stay sober and to keep you out of trouble. Don't risk serious injury to yourself or someone else by drinking and driving. If your friend tells you, "No -- really -- I'm ok to drive," stop them! These are unfortunately often famous last words. Take a cab, take a bus, or call someone who hasn't been drinking.
