TUNDRA tries to evade Arkansas State Police, takes out AT&T junction (Anyone know the repair cost?)
Description
*Comment below if you know how much the repairs would be to this AT&T equipment. (There are a few pictures of the damage at the end of the video)* Trooper's Report: On August 28th, 2023, at approximately 1302 hours, I, Trooper A. Goins, was patrolling U.S. Highway 70 West; I clocked a subject in a white Toyota Tundra traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 70, driving 67 MPH in a 55 MPH speed zone. As I turned around to attempt a traffic stop on this vehicle, the subject increased his speed to flee the traffic stop. At the corner of U.S. Highway 70 East and South Kerr Road, the subject/vehicle wrecked out when it attempted to make a left turn to go North on South Kerr Road. The vehicle struck a street sign and numerous AT&T junction boxes as it veered off the roadway into a field at the corner of U.S. Highway 70 East and South Kerr Road. Once I caught up with the vehicle and initiating my blue lights, I observed the suspect outside of the vehicle. I exited my patrol vehicle, gave the subject verbal commands, and conducted a felony arrest of the individual without incident. Once I had the subject in custody, I obtained his identity. The subject was identified as Geroy Finks. After asking Mr. Finks if he needed any medical attention, he said he did not need any medical attention. I asked Mr. Finks why he fled, and he wasn't sure why. I searched Mr. Finks and placed all his belongings in a clear plastic bag. I advised dispatch of the damage to the AT&T junction boxes and asked if they could contact AT&T and inform them of the equipment damage. As of this date & time, dispatch has still not been able to make contact with AT&T. I asked dispatch to continue attempting to contact AT&T and advise me of a good contact number for them if/when obtained. I inventoried the vehicle, and J-Hook towing impounded the vehicle. I placed Mr. Finks in the backseat of my patrol car to transport him to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Department. Once at the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office, Mr. Finks was charged with: Fleeing by Vehicle (5-54-125); Criminal Mischief (5-38-203); Speeding- 1-15 MPH Over Limit (27-51-201); Reckless Driving (27-50-302(a)(2)); and No Driver License or License Expired (27-16- 602).
