Title
DeLand drug dealer arrest: 6/9/26
Description
Here's an update after the search warrant we posted yesterday.
First, we arrested 3 people at 769 Grant Ave., DeLand: The scumbag owner Richard Frisbee (maintaining a property for drug sales and possession of paraphernalia), and occupants Ashley Kersey (possession of narcotics and paraphernalia) and Samuel McDonald (possession of cocaine and paraphernalia).
We followed that up with another successful search warrant in DeLand, this time at 960 E. Pennsylvania Ave. Turns out one of our targets there (Samuel McDonald) was already in custody at 769 Grant Ave.
At 960 E. Pennsylvania, we found about 3.5 kilos cocaine, 750 grams fentanyl, 112 grams crack, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and Suboxone, cash and 7 firearms including one fully automatic rifle.
The main target, Michael T. Harris Jr., a known drug trafficker already on federal probation, had left the property but was arrested a short time later while going fishing at DeLeon Springs State Park.
Harris (who carries 52 prior charges and 16 convictions) is charged with armed trafficking in cocaine, fentanyl and Oxycodone, manufacturing fentanyl and cocaine, possession of Schedule II and III narcotics within 1,000 feet of a park or school, 8 counts possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell inside a state park, and possession of paraphernalia.
The others arrested at Pennsylvania Ave were Ashley Hereid (possession of cocaine, fentanyl, Schedule III and paraphernalia) and Justin McClain-McDonald (possession of fentanyl and paraphernalia).
Rest assured we're not finished with the drug dealers who destroy lives and ruin quality of life in our community!!
