Title
Arrogant Customer Murders Dealership Worker Over a Leased Car
Description
Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background Jakira T. Anderson (then 23, of Fitchburg, Wisconsin) was a customer who had leased a vehicle from MSI Auto Sales in Middleton, Wisconsin. Kawsu Samba (34, of Madison, Wisconsin; Gambian immigrant, member of local Gambian/Islamic and soccer communities, expecting a child with his wife) was an employee at the dealership. No prior personal relationship beyond the customer-employee interaction. Motive centered on Anderson’s dissatisfaction with the leased vehicle (seeking a refund or exchange after issues began the day after leasing); the dispute lasted several hours and escalated when Samba attempted to end the interaction and have her leave. The Crime Date/time: March 20, 2023, around 1:30–1:35 p.m. Location: MSI Auto Sales, 3012 Parmenter Street, Middleton, Wisconsin. Anderson arrived around 9 a.m. and argued with Samba for hours over the vehicle. Surveillance video showed Samba guiding her toward the exit with a hand on her back. At the door, she stopped, turned, produced a legally purchased handgun (carried in her waistband without a concealed-carry permit), and fired one shot into Samba’s chest at close range. Samba ran into the parking lot and collapsed; Anderson followed briefly, stood over him momentarily, then left in her vehicle. Samba was transported to a hospital and died from a wound to the right lung and heart. Anderson was on a 911 call during parts of the incident. The Investigation Witnesses (including a co-worker) reported Samba dealing with an angry customer, asking her to leave, then hearing a gunshot and seeing Samba run outside pursued by Anderson. Key evidence: Surveillance video of the shooting sequence; 911 call audio (Anderson reported a man putting hands on her but did not initially mention shooting him; the call disconnected and she was called back while driving away); physical evidence of the single gunshot wound and recovered bullet/clothing. Anderson was located and arrested without incident near her mother’s home in Madison about two hours later (around 3:30 p.m.) by Madison Police and charged with first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon. Bond set at $1 million. Suspect statements: Claimed self-defense, saying Samba pushed/got aggressive and she drew the gun only to “scare” him (later testified she did not remember pulling the trigger or intend to kill); said she felt threatened but could not specify threatening words from Samba. Prosecutors highlighted the video showing deliberate actions (racking/raising the gun) and her awareness that the shot at that range/distance was practically certain to cause death. Jury rejected the self-defense claim. Conviction and Sentencing Trial: Three-day jury trial in Dane County Circuit Court (April 2024). Anderson testified in her defense. Verdict (April 18, 2024, after ~5 hours deliberation): Guilty of first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon. Sentencing: Mandatory life imprisonment under Wisconsin law. In June 2024, the judge ruled she is eligible to apply for extended supervision after serving 25 years.
