True Narcissist Thinks He Can Kill Ex And Get Away With It (He Can't)
Description
Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation.
1. Background
Steven Douglas Bails Jr., then 45, of Frenchtown Township, was Sedoskey’s ex-boyfriend.
He was identified by prosecutors as the leader of a six-person plot.
The group had roommate and social ties. Around the same period, Bails married Narena Bails.
Officials said the group conspired after “multiple disagreements” with Sedoskey. The exact motive was never fully settled in public statements; possibilities mentioned included revenge or a “wedding present” tied to the Bailses’ marriage.
2. The crime / his role
Between about 10 p.m. Feb. 15 and 12:30 a.m. Feb. 16, 2023, Sedoskey was lured to the abandoned Boysville facility by Brin Smith.
Police said Steven Bails, Kaylyn Ramsey, and Sierra Bemis were waiting there when she arrived.
Sedoskey was shot three times. Investigators have not publicly confirmed a single shooter.
The next day, Bails returned with Smith, Ramsey, and Bemis to hide the body and cover it with fragrance.
After the body was found, Steven and Narena Bails fled and were later arrested in North Carolina after a standoff with U.S. Marshals.
3. Investigation
Body found March 2, 2023.
Co-defendants Narena Bails, Sierra Bemis, and Alexander Feko later testified against him.
His March 2024 jury trial included more than 20 witnesses and about 60 exhibits. He did not testify. The defense called no witnesses.
4. Conviction and sentence
Charged with first-degree homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide.
March 21–22, 2024: jury convicted him of both counts after about 90 minutes of deliberations.
May 23, 2024: sentenced by Judge Daniel S. White to life in prison without the possibility of parole on first-degree murder, and life with the possibility of parole on the conspiracy count.
Most recent verified public reporting: incarcerated in the Michigan Department of Corrections.
