GloRilla Arrested: Ran Red Light at 4 AM, Then Told Cops "I'm Good To Drive"
Description
At around 4:16 a.m. on April 16, 2024, a Suwanee, Georgia police officer watched a black Mercedes-Maybach make a U-turn on a solid red light — and pulled it over. Behind the wheel was Gloria Hallelujah Woods, the Grammy-nominated rapper known as GloRilla. What the body camera recorded became national news within days. According to the police report, officers noted watery, bloodshot eyes and the odor of marijuana and alcohol. She admitted she'd been drinking but said she was “good to drive.” She agreed to field sobriety tests — and, the report says, showed six of six clues on the eye test. She declined the roadside breath test, and gave no definitive answer to the state's implied-consent request, which was logged as a refusal — so there is no alcohol level in this case. A search turned up an open bottle of champagne, marijuana that was seized and destroyed on scene, and a firearm that officers confirmed was not stolen and released to a sober party. This is the full bodycam breakdown — from the red light to the jail. She was charged, not convicted, and the allegations have not been proven in court. Should fame change how a case like this ends?
