Title
Ford Mustang driver caught RIDIN' Dirty by Arkansas State Police #pursuit
Description
Trooper's Report:
On August 26, 2023, I, Sergeant Stephen Briggs, was traveling in the area of Buford and Forrester Road in the McAlmont
Community of Pulaski County. I observed a black/grey Ford Mustang (Arkansas license plate 046ZYN) traveling north on
Forrester Rd. After the vehicle turned east onto Morning Glory Street, I observed the vehicle travel off the right side of the
roadway into the grass.
At approximately 5:55 p.m., I initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle in the 100 block of Morning Glory St. The vehicle continued to
travel east passing several locations to stop. The vehicle accelerated and I activated my siren and informed dispatch I was in
pursuit. The vehicle continued east on Morning Glory St. and turned north on Primrose St. The vehicle reached speeds of
approximately 45mph as it fled through a residential neighborhood. After turning east onto E. 46th St., I pulled along the driver’s
side rear of the vehicle and the vehicle abruptly decelerated and came to a stop. At that point, I placed the front right corner of
my bush bumper into the driver’s door. I ordered the driver to place his hands in the air and the subject complied. I observed
that the subject’s hands were empty and I ordered the subject to turn off the ignition and roll down the driver’s window. I had the
subject crawl from the driver’s window and lay on the ground. Pulaski County Deputy Ryan Crancer placed the subject in
handcuffs and I identified him as Perry FORD
While speaking with FORD, I could smell the odor of marijuana about his person and vehicle. I conducted a search of FORD’s
person and located no items of contraband. Trooper First Class (TFC) Keri Permenter arrived on scene and conducted a
probable cause search of the vehicle. In the center console, TFC Permenter located a plastic baggie of suspected marijuana
and a black digital scale. I took possession of both items from TFC Permenter and secured them in my vehicle.
TFC Permenter conducted an inventory of the vehicle and completed a vehicle tow sheet. The vehicle was towed and stored by
Phillips Brothers (storage# 20230826181251ASR).
I issued FORD citations (1000847097 / 1000847097) for the following and I booked him into the Pulaski County Jail:
