Arkansas State Police quickly ends pursuit with PIT/TVI MANEUVER #chase #pursuit #pit

Trooper's Report: On August 9, 2026, at approximately 10:17AM Troop A Dispatch advised me that Conway Police Department was in pursuit on Lower Ridge Road headed eastbound. I continued to monitor the radio traffic as I headed toward the pursuit in order to assist if it turned back west. Eventually the pursuit did turn back westbound, and I was in a position to intercept before it reached a populated area in Greenbrier. Conway PD was notified of my location, and they requested Arkansas State Police assistance. I turned northbound on State Highway 225 E, where I intercepted the pursuit in the area of 150 East Main (ST HWY 225E). I became primary in the pursuit, attempted one unsuccessful Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI), before a successful TVI was preformed at 40 East Main. The suspect was taken into custody by Conway Police Department. The suspect, Jeffery Tate, was medically cleared at Baptist ER in Conway before being transported to Faulkner County Detention Center Unit 2 where he was booked on the following charges. 5-54-125: Felony Fleeing - Vehicle or Conveyance (Class D Felony) 5-65-105: Driving DWI Suspended License (Class A Misdemeanor) 27-14-701: Owner Fail to Register Vehicle 27-14-306: Fictious Tags 27-22-104: No Liability Insurance
