Title
Her Husband Found the Screenshots — Then Called the Police | Bodycam
Description
Just before midnight on May 9, 2026, a man called the Whitman County Sheriff's Office in eastern Washington to report his own wife. Garrett Naught had found screenshots on his wife's phone showing messages between her and a 16-year-old, and had already spoken to the teenager directly.
His wife, 25-year-old Mackenzie Naught, was a first-grade teacher in the St. John–Endicott School District. When deputies arrived at 12:55 AM, she told them about mutual infidelity, about alcohol, and about rumors involving another teacher — but never gave a straight answer.
Then a houseguest told deputies what she'd overheard, phone location data laid out the night minute by minute, and Mackenzie waived her Miranda rights and admitted it. She pleaded guilty to Sexual Misconduct with a Minor in the First Degree and was sentenced to six months in jail — reported as the shortest sentence available — plus 12 months of community supervision and 10 years on the s-e-x offender registry. Here's the full case.
Six months in jail, ten years on the registry — was that justice? 👇
