What began with Trooper Christopher Belt spotting a motorcycle that reportedly matched one involved in an earlier encounter quickly developed into a triple-digit pursuit through Washington County. According to the official Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Belt was traveling westbound on Highway 412 near Jones Road when he saw a motorcycle matching the description of one that had allegedly taken off from another trooper only hours earlier. Belt made a U-turn and attempted to get behind the motorcycle to obtain its license plate information. As he closed in, however, he discovered something important: the motorcycle was not displaying a license plate at all. The rider then signaled toward a Murphy USA gas station near Highway 412 and Jones Road. Belt activated his emergency lights and followed the motorcycle into the parking lot to initiate a traffic stop. Instead of stopping, the rider allegedly accelerated rapidly through the gas station parking lot and exited onto Jones Road. Trooper Belt activated his siren and gave chase. The pursuit quickly returned to Highway 412, where the rider allegedly accelerated beyond 100 MPH, weaving through traffic while using both the right shoulder and center turn lane. The motorcycle eventually turned onto Barrington Road and then Highway 112, where the pursuit continued at high speed. Watch the full dashcam footage to see how the pursuit unfolds. 📌 INCIDENT DETAILS • Date: August 15, 2026 • Time: Approximately 8:29 PM • Initial Area: Highway 412 near Jones Road • Call Location: Highway 412 / Jones Road • City: Tontitown, Arkansas • County: Washington County • Vehicle: Motorcycle • Make/Model: Unknown • License Plate: None displayed • Rider: Unknown • Primary Trooper: TRP Christopher Belt #53 • Agency: Arkansas State Police, Troop L • Reported Speed: In excess of 100 MPH • Major Roads: Highway 412, Jones Road, Barrington Road, Highway 112 • Pursuit Reached: Highway 112 near Highway 612 • Number of Identified Subjects: 0 • Number of Identified Vehicles: 0 • Incident Type: Vehicle Pursuit ⚡ PURSUIT HIGHLIGHTS • Trooper Belt travels westbound on Highway 412 • Motorcycle matching earlier description is spotted • Motorcycle reportedly fled another trooper hours earlier • Belt makes a U-turn to investigate • Trooper attempts to obtain license plate information • Motorcycle is found to have no license plate • Rider signals toward Murphy USA • Trooper activates emergency lights • Motorcycle enters gas station parking lot • Rider allegedly accelerates through parking lot • Motorcycle exits onto Jones Road • Trooper advises dispatch of pursuit • Siren is activated • Rider turns south onto Jones Road • Motorcycle quickly returns westbound onto Highway 412 • Speed exceeds 100 MPH • Rider weaves through highway traffic • Motorcycle uses right shoulder • Rider also uses center turn lane • Belt manages to maintain visual contact • Motorcycle turns north onto Barrington Road • Rider allegedly travels in opposing traffic lane • Motorcycle turns north onto Highway 112 • Rider accelerates hard again • Pursuit approaches Highway 112 and Highway 612 The two-page report contains no vehicle or aftermath photographs; page 2 consists entirely of Trooper Belt's pursuit narrative. ⚖️ OFFICIAL CHARGES No official charges are listed in the Arkansas State Police report.
