Chief Discusses the Myths About Response Times

On June 23, 2011, Chief Flynn made a presentation before the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission regarding the myths of response times as a measurement of police effectiveness. While there will always be calls we could have handled faster or better, Chief Flynn promised a trade-off; marginal increases in response times to routine calls for service in exchange for more proactive policing and lower crime - that is what Chief Flynn delivered. We're not the only big city doing it this way; we just admit it.
