This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background Crystal Miller Garney, 46, lived on East 14th Street in Ashtabula, Ohio, and was the mother of two. Daniel A. Taylor, then 32, lived at her home. Police said he was a roommate and that the relationship was otherwise unknown. Heather A. Tinker, then 36, was Taylor’s girlfriend. Randall D. Campbell, then 46, of Ashtabula, was the third person questioned and arrested. He was charged only in the cover-up, not with the killing. Police said on September 14, 2021, that they had no motive. No public motive for Campbell appears in the prosecutor release or the published appeal. The Crime Garney was last seen about 9:30 a.m. on September 8, 2021, at her home, and was reported missing on September 10. The preliminary autopsy found a gunshot wound to the left side of her head. Taylor later pleaded guilty to murder with a firearm specification. The body was wrapped in plastic and cloth, moved in a pickup truck, and left in a wooded railroad right-of-way at Route 167 and March Road in Jefferson Township, covered with pallets. Police found the body on the afternoon of September 13, 2021. A coroner’s investigator said it had been there for several days. She was identified by a tattoo of her children on her leg. Trial evidence was that Campbell helped Taylor and Tinker place the body in the truck and was involved in the disposal. He was not charged with the shooting. The Investigation Detectives suspected foul play early. Ashtabula police were assisted by the FBI, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the sheriff’s office, the coroner’s office, Conneaut police, and Windsor Township Fire. On September 13, 2021, investigators got information that led them to the body. Campbell, Taylor, and Tinker were interviewed that evening and then arrested. Campbell’s initial charges were tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and abuse of a corpse, a fifth-degree felony. Bond was set at $50,000. The case was indicted as State v. Randall D. Campbell, 21 CR 00394. Campbell later gave testimony against Tinker under a plea agreement. The prosecutor’s office said that testimony had to be truthful. Conviction and Sentencing Campbell pleaded guilty in 2022 to one count of gross abuse of a corpse, a fifth-degree felony. The plea included a stipulated recommendation of 12 months in prison in exchange for that testimony. As of the August 29, 2022 prosecutor release, sentencing was still pending. Taylor pleaded guilty on August 17, 2022, to murder with a firearm specification and was sentenced to 18 years to life. Tinker was found guilty by a jury on August 25, 2022, and later received 7 years. Those outcomes are the co-defendants’, not Campbell’s. true crime, law and crime network, interrogation, interrogation analysis, red thread interrogations, interrogation jcs inspired, interrogation jcs style, interrogation psychology, interrogation psychology jcs inspired, new interrogations 2026,interrogation breakdown, police interrogation psychology, bodycam, interview, case analysis, bodycam footage, crime investigation, police interrogation, suspect interview, int, interrogations 2026,interrogation videos, jcs true crime
