Title
Dangerous HIGH SPEED PURSUIT - Occupants flee (passenger has a gun!) #chase Arkansas State Police
Description
Trooper's Report:
On 9/7/2023 at approximately 12:55 AM, I, Trooper Killian was patrolling Interstate 630 West at Mississippi when I observed a
black Nissan Altima Bearing license plate AMU68H traveling in the number three lane. I observed the Altima strike the white
dotted line that separates the number four lane from the number three lane and then continue to swerve inside of the lane. I
then ran the license plate through ACIC, At Interstate 630 West and
Interstate 430 North I Informed Troop A Communications that I was going to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Once I initiated my emergency lights the vehicle began to accelerate, and the passenger began to throw, and empty baggies
containing a green leafy substance. I informed Troop A Communications that I was in pursuit. At the intersection of Interstate
630 West and Shackleford the Altima proceeded through a red light traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle turned left
onto autumn and then left onto Kanis. While on Kanis the vehicle continued to flee at a high rate of speed and blew through an
intersection while his light was red. We turned right onto John Barrow and the vehicle reached speeds of approximately 105
MPH and blew through two intersections while the light was red. The Altima then turned left onto 42nd street and immediately
stopped on Tatum St and bailed on foot. I pursued after the driver on foot. The driver ran towards 41st street where he bailed
into a wooded area.
The driver was a skinny black male wearing a white tank top with blue or black shorts and had long to medium style dreads.
After reviewing video, it showed the passenger a black male wearing a blue hoodie and khaki style pants. It also showed the
passenger exit the vehicle with a pistol in his hand.
After inventorying the vehicle, I found an Arkansas ID for a Michael Dewayne White III. The picture from
the ID matched the description of the driver who bailed on foot. I contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, Tonya McBride.
She stated that she didn’t know who was driving the vehicle.
I will be charging Michael White with the following charges:
5-54-125(d)(3) FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH
