Fleeing hit and run driver

On Monday, FHP troopers responded to a hit-and-run crash near the 108 mile marker of eastbound I-4, where a grey Ford F-150 hit two other vehicles, causing one to flip on its side. The suspect fled the scene with front-end damage and no front driver's side tire. A witness followed and provided updates to law enforcement. Deputies in Deltona spotted the F-150 and boxed in the fleeing driver, taking him into custody without further incident. Jesus Latorre, 48, Deltona, is charged with DUI, reckless driving, fleeing, refusal to submit to DUI testing, driving an unregistered vehicle, and no proof of insurance, along with an FHP charge of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury.
