All Of This Started With A Missing License Plate

On March 13, 2025, a Connecticut state trooper stopped a black Subaru Legacy on Route 2 in Bozrah for a missing front license plate and failure to maintain its lane. Two ordinary violations. Then he ran the plate. According to state police, the same vehicle had fled from troopers one week earlier, and the driver had an active warrant. What followed was three minutes at a closed car door, two struck cruisers, a damaged gas pump, a pursuit, a K9 track through a residential neighborhood — and a medical emergency that stopped the arrest cold. Connecticut State Police confirmed no officers and no members of the public were injured. Authorities said the decision to box the vehicle in at the gas station was based on the driver's prior history of evading law enforcement. She was charged with criminal attempt to assault a public safety officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, three counts of criminal mischief, two counts of interfering with an officer, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility after a collision, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper number of marker plates, and failure to maintain lane.
