An Arkansas State Police traffic stop involving a white 2023 Dodge Charger unexpectedly developed into a completely different pursuit on August 17, 2026. According to the official report, Trooper Justin Harper stopped the Charger on State Highway 7 in Ouachita County after observing it traveling 77 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone. As Harper exited his patrol vehicle, a black Ford F-150 allegedly passed the traffic stop recklessly, failed to move over, revved its engine, and accelerated away. Harper returned to his patrol vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The report states that the F-150 continued southbound on Highway 7 at speeds exceeding 92 MPH. At one point, the pickup allegedly passed another vehicle using the right shoulder and nearly caused a collision. The pursuit eventually moved onto State Highway 376 and then a gravel road, where the situation took another dramatic turn.
