Inside Portland’s Dialogue Policing Conference

Portland hosted a Dialogue Policing conference bringing together agencies, researchers, and partners from across the United States. Dialogue policing focuses on communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building, especially during large events and demonstrations. Participants shared what is working, explored best practices, and discussed how this approach is being developed and applied across different communities.
