Shannon's Law | Mesa PD

As New Year's Eve approaches, remember: celebratory gunfire is illegal and dangerous, and dangerous. Under Shannon's Law (ARS 13-3107), firing a gun into the air is an unlawful discharge of a firearm—a Class 6 felony. These actions can lead to prison time, probation, and serious penalties for anyone who chooses to break this law. Let's ring in the new year safely. Celebrate responsibly. 🎆 If you see dangerous behavior, report it immediately.
