Sovereign Citizen Thinks 'The Name' Script Will Save Him and Fails

In this Washington State arraignment, we watch what happens when sovereign citizen scripting collides with an actual courtroom. The defendant repeatedly denies being “the name,” refuses to engage with the process, and relies on familiar sovereign phrases as if repetition alone can override reality. The result isn’t a legal defense — it’s a delay. The prosecutor raises concerns about competency and requests a higher bond based on the nonsensical claims being made. The judge, however, applies restraint, noting the defendant’s lack of a failure-to-appear history over the past decade, and allows release while setting the next court date. This episode isn’t about beliefs — it’s about accountability, process, and what courts actually respond to when the scripts stop working. No magic words. No shortcuts. Just facts meeting the law.
