Title
Suspect flees (101mph) due to a little 12 grams of marijuana #pursuit #chase #arkansasstatepolice
Description
On 9/08/2025 at approximately 12:30 P.M., I was traveling on Interstate 630 East near the 7-mile marker. While I was traveling, I noticed a gray Chrysler 300 bearing an Arkansas license plate AXN89X traveling at excessive speeds. When I ran my radar to confirm, it showed the vehicle was traveling at 101 mph. I initiated my blue lights, and once we took Exit 6A, I turned on my siren at approximately 12:31P.M. The vehicle traveled through a red traffic light onto Rodney Parham Road and continued traveling in excess of the speed limit. While doing so, the suspect nearly collided with another vehicle and traveled into the opposing traffic lane. The vehicle then went through another red traffic light and turned onto West 12th Street. This is when I initiated the pursuit at approximately 12:31 P.M. The vehicle continued fleeing in excess of the speed limit until it turned onto Leisure Place and stopped at the James H. Penick Boys and Girls Club, ending the pursuit at approximately 12:32 P.M. The suspect was placed in custody while I searched the vehicle. During the search, I found approximately 12 grams of suspected marijuana in the center console. The suspect was placed under arrest at 1:12 P.M. for Felony Fleeing, and I transported him to Pulaski County Detention Center. The vehicle was towed by Asher Wrecker.
