Harley-Davidson rider flees police at 110 MPH before finally giving up and falling off bike #pursuit
Description
Trooper's Report: On 08/27/2026 at approximately 20:08 hours, I observed a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 East at the 134 mile marker. The speed limit through this area is 65mph and I paced the motorcycle at around 83mph. For unknown reasons before I could activate my emergency equipment the motorcycle accelerated to over 110mph. With lights and sirens activated the motorcycle began to weave through traffic at speeds still over 110mph. As the pursuit approached the south interchange on Interstate 30 East at the 138 mile marker, the motorcycle took the Interstate 530 Exit. Shortly after taking the Interstate 530 Exit, the motorcycle pulled to the right shoulder of the roadway. The operator of the motorcycle then placed both his hands in the air and surrendered. The operator of the motorcycle was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility. The operator was later identified as BARRETT ROSS CATO. The motorcycle was towed by Adam's Wrecker Service and a handgun bearing serial number (BK155585) was left in the saddle bag of the motorcycle. Suspects' Charges: 27-20-106: MOTORCYCLE - RIDING WITHOUT OPERATORS LICENSE 27-51-201, 27-50-302(7): SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT 5-54-125(d)(2) 2023: FLEEING - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - EXCEEDING THE SPEED LIMIT
