New Years Eve Gunfire PSA

The Milwaukee Police Department wants everyone to have a #Safe and #HappyNewYear. We have seen an increase of those in our community who fire shots into the air during events, on holidays, or other occasions. This is sometimes referred to as “celebratory” gunfire. However, what goes up must come down and in some cases, celebratory gunfire has caused significant injury or even death to innocent victims. It instills fear in those who attend gatherings and events. This behavior can turn a celebration into a tragedy. Let’s keep our community safe…. Together.
