Title
Early Morning 130 MPH Pursuit Ends in Rural Jackson County Fields
Description
Disclaimer: This description avoids spoilers — all outcomes appear only within the video.
Just before sunrise on September 28th, 2025, Trooper Grayson Russell (Troop B) was monitoring radar along U.S. Highway 167 in Jackson County when a silver Toyota Camry flew past traveling 70 in a 60 zone. When the trooper activated lights and siren, the driver accelerated — quickly pushing speeds to 130 MPH as the pursuit crossed into White County.
The Camry veered recklessly between lanes, even driving into the oncoming side of traffic near Siler Road before darting west through a series of rural routes including Scoggins, Babb, and Roosevelt Roads. Russell attempted a TVI near Highway 157, but the suspect continued at high speed. Eventually, after turning onto Wagon Wheel Road, the driver jumped from the moving vehicle, which rolled off the roadway and into a group of small trees.
Trooper Russell immediately detained the passenger and secured the vehicle. Inside the Camry, troopers located marijuana, open alcohol containers, tattooing tools, and a stun gun. The passenger showed signs of intoxication, while the driver fled on foot into nearby woods.
