Title
DWI driver eats the wall during HIGH SPEED PURSUIT - Car full of stolen illegal weapons, drugs, cash
Description
Trooper's report:
On August 18, 2023 at approximately 11:50 pm, I, Trooper Jeb Little #586, observed a gray passenger car traveling at a high
rate of speed and failing to maintain its lane of traffic on Interstate 30 West near the 142mm. At 11:51 pm I activated my lights
and siren to initiate a traffic stop with the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle failed to yield to my lights and siren. Shortly after
a pursuit was called.
The suspect vehicle took the exit ramp from Interstate 30 West to Interstate 630 West while traveling at a high rate of speed
and passed a pedestrian vehicle recklessly. The suspect vehicle failed to negotiate a right curve at a high rate of speed, lost
control, and struck the concrete traffic barrier located on the south side of the roadway effectively disabling his vehicle.
A felony takedown was then conducted and the front passenger, Artez Williamson, was placed into the rear of my unit. Trp.
Jessica McCord arrived on scene shortly after and assisted in taking the driver, Typaris Johnson, into custody. Sgt. Mark
Blackerby, Cpl. Jerry Oglesby, Trp. Kemp Smith, and Trp. Brandon Neal also arrived on scene. Trp. Kemp Smith placed the
backseat passenger, Kaelon Lipkins, into custody.
Once all three occupants in the vehicle were placed under arrest, a search of the vehicle yielded one stolen Glock G29
SN#BYDH126 modified with a full-auto glock switch (located on the dash near the steering wheel), one Glock 22 SN#FGC468
(located beneath the front passenger seat), an American Tactical AR15 pistol SN#NS357168 (located in the rear passenger
floorboard), 66 Oxycodone Pills, 1 Hydrocodone Pill, 20grams of Marijuana (located in the front passenger floorboard), 1
unknown tablet, 74 grams of unknown light brown capsules, 2x Bottles of Promethazine, and $2603.00 in cash. The
miscellaneous pills, promethazine, and money were located in black backpack that was in the rear passenger portion of the
vehicle.
