A dark blue Infiniti QX50 traveling 82 MPH in a 60 MPH zone catches the attention of an Arkansas State Police trooper late at night on Highway 18. Seconds later, the situation escalates dramatically.
According to the Arkansas State Police report, Trooper Theodore Henderson turned around to initiate a traffic stop after obtaining the radar reading. The Infiniti allegedly accelerated immediately, with radar first showing 113 MPH before its speed quickly increased to 130 MPH.
Henderson reported traveling 130 to more than 140 MPH while trying to close the distance. As the pursuit moved through Dell toward Blytheville, the Infiniti allegedly passed another vehicle on the right while traveling around 130 MPH. Local officers and Mississippi County deputies began positioning themselves ahead of the pursuit.
Police deployed spike strips as the Infiniti approached Blytheville, but the pursuit wasn't over. The vehicle continued at high speed, allegedly ran a red light, and headed toward city streets as Henderson looked for an opportunity to perform a Tactical Vehicle Intervention.
What happens next brings several officers into a rapidly developing confrontation.
