Capsized boat rescue: 10/9/18

This morning (10/9/18), Volusia County sheriff’s deputies responded to a capsized boat in Lake Monroe, where one occupant had been clinging to the side for an extended period of time. A second occupant was later discovered deceased about 2 miles away from the boat. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the gentleman who did not survive.
