For months, the DEA has been investigating a criminal organization. They were originally after a man named Daniel Cabrera Vergara, the drug coordinator and facilitator for a Mexico leader named Javier Contreras Castillo. [music] The agents would monitor his WhatsApp communication and discover that Cabrera Vergara was one of Contreras' top contacts. In July 2023, 3 months before the traffic stop, DEA agents would install a drug pole camera at a residence in Louisiana believed to be a drug stash house. In August 2023, DEA agents would execute a search warrant in a house in Atlanta, but moments before the raid, the same F-150 that was in this traffic stop had just left the area prior to the operation. And based on Contreras' known drug dealing ties, they believe the F-150 was the drug and money carrier. Through September 2023, they would notice the same truck go in and out of Louisiana. The license plate readers also seen that the truck went back to Georgia as well. The DEA would again conduct an analysis of Contreras' phone and find the number that was his new top contact. The phone would be tied to the driver in this video. They would ping the phone location and DEA agents would set up surveillance in Louisiana, and troopers conducted this traffic stop knowing there may be something illegal in the vehicle. As a result of this traffic stop, the driver, Orlean Cabrera, was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison.
