I'm just making sure, man. >> The driver was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, felling in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute. But as I looked into the case, it showed that the driver may have not been a felon. He was only convicted of possession with the intent to distribute and he was sentenced to 5 years at hard labor, but it would be deferred under article 893, which is usually given to firsttime felons for a chance to get it expuned off their record and he was put on 3 years probation.
