on this episode of State boys a big rig and a Mustang traveling on a 22 M Bridge results in shots being fired a case of roll rage laying one man in jail I ain't lie I was pissed and I just shoted like footage from your Louisiana State Police multiple Sheriff officers and City police St John the Baptist Parish Louisiana on August 5th 2019 Louisiana State Police TR B received a call from a driver of a 18wheeler traveling north on Interstate 55 on a 22m long man Che Bridge the caller stated that he was in the right lane and a great Mustang roll past him and pointed a rifle out the window and fired several rounds striking the 18 Willer after receiving a call troopers from Troop B and Troop L begin searching for the vehicle troop Al eventually found a vehicle just getting off the man bridge on I55 and initiated a traffic stop [Applause] l55 YY Sierra Alp 076 YSA 076 it's on a silver Ford Mustang Northbound approaching M post 20 55 region one 55 all right we stop 55 Bob Northbound and we're just north of us51 business after making contact with the driver The Trooper tell him the reason for the Stop Hey Driver License Registration Insurance walk back here with it who else you got in the car with you man that's my my friend we getting out birth this his car okay we just take serious driv don't put your hands in your pockets okay I'm sorry I'm sorry all right BR this is why I'm stopping I was okay it's not my stop put your hands where I can see you okay there you go I'm just getting over I understand the reason I'm stopping is because somebody called and indicated that somebody in that car pulled a weapon on them and fired a weapon out oh no no I'm just I'm just telling you why I'm stopping you understand where I'm coming from yes sir how many people other people in the car just us two okay do you have any weapons in the car no sir we doing L5 a the Troopers then detain the driver to investigate the call that the Troopers received okay listen turn around put your hands behind you back no turn around I'm not arresting you but I'm handcuffing you cuz cuz I'm just going to try to figure this out so as investigative purposes okay somebody's claiming that y'all have a gun in the car all right so this is for my safety as well as yours all right you understand that now let me let me just do this you have a right to remain silent anything you say can will be used against you to the court of law you can decide at any time to exercise your right to remain silent not answer any questions or make any statements you have a right to a lawyer and you have the right to have a lawyer present with you while you being questioned or while you given up any statement if you cannot afford an attorney the courts will provide one for you do you understand your rights as I have read them to you all right the 911 caller is also at the scene the driver then tells the trooper his version of what happened in the incident with the trucker no weapons in the car correct did y'all have any any problems with this guy in this truck back here just be honest with you we was driving and I guess he didn't look in his blind spots cuz he was like like very like real real real close to hitting us like we really ran off the road we almost ran into the bridge okay in the bridge rail all right yes sir now at any point did y'all pull anything make any gestures towards him to make him believe that y'all had a gun now we did now we a we a had we come on we just giv out work we fresh we had to rain out no I'm I'm just I'm just asking man okay like I said I I wasn't out there I don't know what happened and I'm trying to figure out what happened okay obvious he called and said y'all y'all had an issue and you're telling me yet y'all did have an issue okay so the biggest thing here now is is whether or not there's a weapon involved it's not a weapon okay so there's no weapons in that car but it's not your car it's your buddy's car yes sir we just take turns driving okay all right you got any weapons on you anything like that no no I'm just asking nothing here all right I'm going come on back here and I'm going to put you in the back back in my car okay watch your feet don't I don't want you to lose your shoes come on the trooper then talk to the victim and he tells what happened in the [Applause] incident Herman what happened boy man I was uh okay and they the on ramp full Applause they had 18 wheeler trying to merge into the right lane I got over he was coming around the curve on L8 and he was so he was behind he was behind Okay and when I got over up on my ass right I seen back whe my I don't know 2 3 minutes and then he started coming come down bar the Troopers then put their attention on the passenger and the owner of the vehicle 20-year-old Nicholas s of Hammond Louisiana hold on hey just sit tight you all right okay 11 hey hey passor pass get out of the car put your hands up and get out of the car come on back here man let me hey hey get your hands up walk back here come on back here walk back here I about I get your shoes boy imped yourself bro no I just got out work you know it was [Applause] raining is this your car all right I'm going do I'm going afford you the same thing I afforded him listen to me you remain silent and you understand your Miranda right okay Nicholas tell Troopers that he doesn't have a firearm but he has something similar there's no doubt cuz your your friend even y'all had some type of issue with the man in the truck back there okay he almost hit Y or something yeah I I want you to be honest with you have any weapons in this vehicle it's not a it's a paintball gun not a weapon you got a paintball gun where's the paintball gun at it's in the trunk it's in the trunk elev 45 Nicholas then tells his side of the story pull the paint on man no I look all right I'm tell did you do it I did it look my friend ain't got nothing to do with this I'm going be honest with you look look he almost we almost served off the road cuz he wasn't even looking almost knocked us off the road I ain't lying I was pissed I was pissed so I pull out the paintball game and I decied like one time one or two times you shot it yes sir all right okay all right fair enough you got an ID on you yeah oh where is it no just tell me where it's at it's in your wallet W one of the Troopers retrieves a weapon out of the vehicle and the paintball guns in the truck yeah look if you just uh just pull down the back seat grab will this open it it'll open but you're not going to be able to grab it from right there cuz I got uh speakers back [Applause] up what record was that coming again this [ __ ] right here get you killed bro [Applause] are you willing to write a statement about what happened yeah we going to get all that [ __ ] off the side of my truck and pay for my hood now I got blue paint all over my hood one of the Troopers didn't take pictures of the damage big rig for [Applause] evidence I ain't got a paintball gun I understand we just I didn't know that was a paint well no and we and hey I I listen I'm not I'm not telling you what you what you should have done or what you could have done or what you shouldn't or shouldn't do you know you feel your LIC and Jeopardy you have a right to defend yourself um anyhow what I'm getting but that's that's what they shot at you and I understand where you're coming from cuz I feel the same way Ah that's where okay got you right here too let me ask you something what do you want to do I want to press all right let me get a let me get a statement I'm going get you to write a statement a voluntary statement about what happened I'm going to get my camera and take some pictures of your truck on the side okay okay the driver is let go and the passenger Nicholas s was arrested for aggravated assault and simple damage the property I was headed this way was fny I clocked a car right in front of him to 95 he I know I was speeding I said no you wasn't speed on a ride to the Paris jail Nicholas asked the trooper what's his chances of becoming a state trooper after this incident what you got buddy Trooper can can you still be a state trooper with a charge like this oh [Applause] I would say depending on what the uh what direction this goes um you know it really would depend on if this ends up because as of right now a hold on one second buddy depending on a charge like as of right now the aggravated Assa is a felony charge the felony charge of aggravated assault was dropped and Nicholas was sentenced to misdemeanor probation for simple damage to property under $1,000 the victim did not want restitution
