On this episode of State Boys, [music] a trooper with the Louisiana State Police, Troop D, stops a semi on I-10 near the Texas-Louisiana line. The flatbed is empty, but something about the driver isn't adding up. When basic paperwork turns into a problem, the stop takes a turn. You know, you almost went off the roadway, okay? And you're getting cited for uh for no record of duty status, okay? So, you going to go to Georgia and you leave Georgia in 2018. Okay. And you don't know where at. Listen, you don't even have a logbook, but you're supposed to have a logbook, okay? You're supposed to How long you been driving? What? This truck and trailer has been sitting in pieces for a week. Not a very common thing, okay? This business is money. If you're [ __ ] up, there's no money being made, okay? After eventually getting consent, the troopers [music] confirmed their suspicions when they searched the vehicle. logbook Go back. You got to go back 7 days on your logbook. 7 days. It's your right. He flew from Mission, Texas to Houston for a like like like He's been in Houston for a week. But this thing's been sitting for a week. Not making money, and now he's taking it to Georgia. To Georgia to Newman to drop it off. But once he gets to Georgia, they're going to let him know where to drop it off. The troopers located about 20 bundles of cocaine that was found in the cab of the 18-wheeler. The estimated street value of the cocaine is approximately $500,000. The driver will be charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. He was sentenced to 20 years in the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
