On June 14th, staff at a nursing home called 911 after one of their patients assaulted several other residents in the [music] facility. The patient in question, Bobby, is a known bully in the home and has repeatedly slapped [music] around and harassed other seniors. What happened, Bobby? What's up? Why did you hit them? Bobby, why did you hit them? Not listening? Okay. Stop. Bobby. Bobby, stop. That's not That's not cool, okay? You can't be punching people. You can't be throwing that at people, either, okay? Okay. You got to be nice, okay? You can't be doing that to people. Okay. Are you cool going inside? You got to go inside according to them. Bobby. Bobby, please be nice, please. We're I can't force you, but can you just do that for us, please? So, we Well, she can't If she's not homicidal or a threat to herself or others she can't just be We can't do that. That's taking her rights away. If you want someone to come over here and see if she's petitionable, we can do that, but we're not just sending someone to the hospital just because she's an Bobby, be nice, please. Please. She's a threat to others. She's got How many people has she hit today? A petition A petition is taking her rights away to choose about a hospital. I'm not doing that today. So, I I cannot just petition her just because she's not cooperating. I would get in a lot of trouble and you guys know that. If she wants to go to the hospital, she absolutely can, but I cannot force her. >> You don't want to go to the hospital, Bobby? Okay. Cool. Again? Okay, I can't force you. Bobby, can you please just go inside? Please. How? And then you mean how How many times has she tried to put one of the residents at least four? And I had to intervene. But at least four times. Okay, but we cannot petition someone for like We can't We can't do that. Why don't you want to go inside? It's pretty hot out here. You got to go in at some point, okay? So, our policy is to call the police every time she hits somebody. Right. Which we can take the report for that, absolutely. Okay. Bobby. I don't want to be back here cuz you battered someone else, okay? So, you can't be hitting people, so I need you to understand that. You can't be hitting people. It seems the officer's heart-to-heart with Bobby did in fact not get through to her because not even an hour later dispatch received another call about Bobby [music] bullying and assaulting several residents. Okay. Bobby, you got to stand up. After you're going to stand up, ready? Bobby, can you stand up, ready? No. Okay. Bobby, can you stand up, ready? Let me Let me Hey, you guys think we should put another set of handcuffs? I don't know if she's good like Okay. Okay. I mean She's battered three nurses, too, so I could Based on the entire nursing home breaking out in cheer, I think it's safe to say everyone was [music] happy that Bobby was removed from the environment. She was eventually taken to the hospital and later charged with aggravated [music] battery and elder abuse. She was also kicked out of the nursing home and trespassed, ensuring she could never harm another soul in the facility.
