No. How long How long have you been in this home? Okay. And how do you know Anna? Anna's a neighbor. I asked her. But how do you know her? Did you just walk up to her and just ask a random person, "Can I stay in this house?" Can I go and check with her, please? No, no, hold on. We're not going anywhere. I'm just asking. >> me. The other house? Mhm. No, you you can stay here. But which house is it? Is it the trailer or is it the other house? >> Trailer was here parked for >> Okay, where does Anna live? >> a week or two. Where does Anna live? The trailer or the house? >> Okay, just stay right here. Sheriff's office. Is there an Anna that lives here? Yeah. Can we talk to her? This morning What's that? This morning I have No, no, no. Can we talk to Can I talk to her? Oh, can you? Yeah, because I guess she allowed somebody to stay in the house and we're just trying to figure out who that person is. Do you know of anyone living in that little two-story abandoned house? The old uh terracotta color? Yeah. Do you live here? I live in the apartment connected to the house. Okay, and Anna is who to you? My mother. Okay. Can we talk to Can I talk to her? Yeah, let me grab What's your name? Hello. I just speak I have to mention to you Okay, well, we need to be be able to document that we spoke to you. So, if you do have permission as to be here Did Did say that there was a problem? Yes. Oh, okay. That's why we're here. Okay, well I can pay my ticket the and go. >> So, what's your name? I just I want to wait. You need to tell me your name or you're going to go to jail. Yeah. Britney, can I sit? Britney what? Can I sit, please? Britney what? Britney. What's your last name? >> Fallen. How do you spell that? F A L L I N. F A L L I N? What's your date of birth? Can I please sit? What's your date of birth? >> Can I please sit? You need to identify yourself. What's your date of birth? I don't know. I've been pulled over before. >> ahead and sit on the concrete. >> And I have had no problems in other situations and I don't know why. Okay, well we we got to verify cuz we got a call from the owner saying that somebody's here that shouldn't be. Okay. Okay. So, why don't you tell me I've been asking who the owner is and Okay. I'm saying I'm not saying anything. What's What's your date of birth? What's your date of birth? I can't think. Hold on. Okay, I have a reason to be here, okay? If you don't identify yourself, you are going to go to jail, you understand? Yes, I do. Can I So, what's your date of birth? >> down. I am not able to access that right now. Why not? Because I'm freaked out. I've asked I've asked every neighbor Okay, so clearly you're doing something you shouldn't be doing because you're not willing to talk to me. >> to ask them if the police were present. Okay, why is >> Because you freak me out. >> Because you're doing something you shouldn't be doing. >> I don't do illegal [ __ ] I don't do illegal things. >> Okay, then you shouldn't have a problem talking to me. >> I am not able to get my nervous system to calm down right now. Hi. I'm Gable with the Sheriff's Office. Are you Anna? Yes. Okay, the reason why I'm out here is because we got a call from the owner of that little two-story house right there on Gessner B. Called us and said that somebody was living in that house and they didn't want anybody in there. So, we found somebody in there, but the female said that you allowed her to stay there. I told her she could hang out there because she's waiting to get some kind of housing. Okay. And the people that she was around in Madrid and I guess uh they're encroaching in her bubble and she's schizophrenic. Okay. And I was like, "Well, just you know How do you know her? Um she came to the house. >> She just randomly showed up? Okay. So, other than that you didn't know her before? No. Okay. And then she just asked for help? Yeah. Okay. And then you you let her stay there. Does she have a bunch of stuff with her or was she slowly bringing stuff because there's a lot of clothes in there? She's slowly bringing stuff in. Okay. And did you tell her that she had a time limit on being there? No, cuz I figured that cuz I've been asking her and I said, "Well, don't you have a case manager? Don't you you know, I'm trying to go at her like slightly and slowly. Okay. Uh cuz I have a social worker. Okay. Um but it's whatever trauma she's been through plus I believe she's schizophrenic. So, does the owner know that somebody's living in there that you allowed somebody to live there? Um if Ramona, the owner, she's the owner. Okay. I'm not sure who called but somebody called saying that they're the owner. Yeah. Uh Luna's her daughter and the other daughter. But do they know that you allowed somebody to stay there is my question. >> No, she said I told her I'm going to use the land cuz um I don't know if you've been here when there was a bus at the gate >> No. and all this stuff. >> first time being here. Oh, okay. Well, welcome around. Uh but I've had to clean up a whole huge mess Okay. that family has left me with. Okay. And Ramona said that she was going to grant me Well, they They me the trailer, that other one over there. Yeah, I saw I saw that one. Uh >> and I told her just to the perimeter by the fence. And that, you know, we can squash things because I had a mess to clean up that we've been working on for, oh, 3 years now. Okay. And so, I don't know um who called. But, I had told them I was going to be here because this [ __ ] was get it it was way out of hand. Okay. So, whose property is that house on? Is it the person who owns the house? Um well >> Are you just watching it? Is that Is that what it is? I've always watched the property. >> I I get it, but it's not your property. Is what I'm trying to get out. >> Yeah. Okay. But, I'm trying to get it configured to where I don't have this kind of a mess again. And I don't have people just, you know, barging in and trying to uh I live out here because I grew up in this house. Yeah, yeah, I get it. And I don't need whoever, whatever just blowing in. Yeah, so how how long has she been staying there? Um Roughly. A little over a week. That's that's it? She told me it was about over a month. Her typing isn't quite Okay, so it was a week about a week? >> about a week, maybe almost two. All right. Well, I'm going to have to do a report. Do you have your driver's license on you by any chance? Yeah. Can you tell me when your birthday is? Um it's Violet Szabo. And Violet? How do you spell Szabo? S Z E B O S S Z E B O Z A B O, okay. Access any of my information right to I think I remember the situation. I don't have a lot of information. I'm trying to get my identification and I'm having a lot of problems doing so. Okay. Um Did you have it stolen or what? Yeah. Okay. A lot of things were stolen. When's your birthday? I'm not not sure right now. This thing happened when my dad died and it was stressful and I forgot my social security number. Okay. I'm sorry. How old are you? I'm not sure. Um specifically. It's got very weird situation. Anna has found uh a little more than me and I've been trying to ink that up by thinking all that stuff, so she's been helping me figure that out. Anything else? She's given me two different names. She won't give me her DOB. She says she doesn't know it or even give me her age. I see that. I even told her like she needs to identify herself or else she will be arrested. Yeah, cuz right now you're facing trespassing charges and then if you don't Hold on, if you don't identify yourself, then you're going to get you're going to get concealing. It's my DOB. What's your date of birth? I don't know my date of birth. You know your social? I don't. I don't. My dad died and How old are you? I don't know. I know I know range, but right now it's it's I don't want to give something that then it's and then it's not I don't need to do that right now. You do need to do that because you're going to make it worse. So, one of the options is we're doing our investigation. You'll end up being released, but the way you're going about it right now is you're just going to go to jail, so you you're making it worse on yourself. Right. So, which one you want? You want to give us your name name and date of birth so we can identify you? I don't know. And then send you on your way, or you're making the decision for us to arrest you because you're concealing. Did Anna say what she said? It doesn't matter right now what she said, but I'm letting you know already. So, the action that we're going to end up taking is releasing you, but I but you're forcing us now I don't know the to arrest you for concealing because you're not giving us I am. >> Yes, you are, because I'm giving you two options. Okay, listen. Are you listening to me? I am. >> Option number one. I'm going to get arrested. We're doing our investigation, which is leading to us just releasing you, documenting the incident, meaning you get to go on your way. But, that only happens if we identify you. But, hold on. But, because you're not identifying, now we're going to have to go to plan B, and that means that you're going to get arrested for concealing because you don't give us a date of birth. >> feel like I don't have the information. How do you not have the information when it's your own? >> a lot of traumatizing experiences in the last few years. And I've had a lot of shake-up things. My identification's been stolen. All my stuff's been stolen. Everything. You ordered my new birth certificate, but it's not right yet. Well, I guess we're I guess I guess the other They're both and I have no idea what my social security number is. I know that Well, I guess the other option that we have then is just place you under arrest. You're going to sit in jail, wait for a return for your fingerprints or any type of identification, and then we never identify you, you're just going to stay in jail. I'm 25. I don't know what my birthday is. Well, I don't know you, so I don't even know what month. I don't even know what day. Right. But, if I had it If you excuse me. I know that if all my friends are and she has Anna and I know who I am. Let's walk to the front of the car, and then maybe we can check our RMS. Come on over. Come on. Come on with us. Well, no me here. And then I'll brief you. Do you want All right. So, again, we're not going to leave until we identify who you are. I mean, so we need a date of birth. We need something. We need you to work with us. Okay. Do you have warrants? Is it something simple? Is it a traffic and that's why you're not wanting to give us information? It's not It's not Cuz if you have a simple simple warrant, we're not going to make it a big deal. But we are going to make it a big deal if we can't identify you. And like I said, the only option that we have is you're going to end up getting arrested. And since we don't know who you are, we're going to book you in under a no name, and you're just going to sit in jail until we figure out who you are. Cuz the judge isn't going to release you. Okay. Well, warrants Is that I mean, they said there's a warrant, right? >> What's that? Warrants are a warrant, right? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If If you have a warrant and that's why you're not giving us information, we're going to work with you. But Right. You're giving us the I've gone by and I don't It's not It's messed up. And I don't want to be arrested. Okay. I know the identity I've gone under. I need to talk to somebody. This is not a I'm not kidding. I'm not concealing. I know I probably have a warrant or something, but whatever. It's not my It's not my That's been the problem. So, you don't know what day you were born? I know the identity I've gone under. What are you under? And I don't I don't think What's that? I don't want to go to jail today. I watched it my shift figure it out. I couldn't do it in jail. Here, so what I What identity are you under? Britney Johnson. Britney Johnson? Yeah. What's your date of birth? And it's not accurate. It's not accurate? No. What's your social? Do you know the last four? Do you know the first three? Say what? All right, you're good to go. Okay. I need the name and the number that came off of this report. I want it on the report and I'll pick it up. Yeah. Uh because see the owners the well, the so-called they have my name, they have my number, and they have my email. Okay. So, if I don't get that information from them, something else is up. Okay. And I know somebody's been asking about the property, but uh what I understand, he uh does his water strike [ __ ] So, I got to squash this as fast as I can. >> Okay. Well, I mean, you're not the property owner, so we're going to call whoever called and verify if they're the property owner. If they are, we're going to trespass her. Okay. That's what's going to happen. And then if again, I'm going to let you know right now, you're not going to get any charges, but you cannot allow somebody to stay at or on a property that does not belong to you. Well, no, I understand. Uh Well, it was just so she could I get it. It doesn't matter. And at that point, you you give her a place in your home or somebody else's home if that's what you're if you're concerned. But I mean, I you know, you can't allow somebody to stay on somebody's property. Okay? So, you're good to go. Where Where was the last place you had an identification out? I don't know. It's not It was this last time. Like, did you have an ID when you lived in Vermont? Okay. What about anywhere else? I don't know. How do you not know? Cuz literally I have no If they they take it. to get my stuff. And so with Anna and him I've been working on my stuff. I don't have right now. Right there. Okay. My stuff is right there. So sorry Anna. Okay, put the rocks down. Put your hands behind your back. I identified myself. No, you haven't. I did. You have to be exact. You're being detained because there's serious warrants that we're trying we're trying to find out. Stop. I identified myself and they're still arresting me. >> No, you haven't. I did. I don't know my social security number. I don't I don't have that. I identified And I told you I'm detaining you because we have serious warrants. I know that. >> possibility in your name and we need to confirm. But you still resisted. I'm not resisting. Just turn over on your side and get sick. Do not resist. I'm not resisting now. You can either lay down or sit down. Sit up. >> Tell me what to do. Sit down. I'll do it. Sit up. Sit down. I have given you my identification. Did we confirm? I need the social. Cuz because there is no social on the return. There There is on the warrant. I think the beginning is 535. 535? Yeah, that's it. Okay. Okay. Failure to appear. One was felony possession of of uh drugs, resisting evading, obstructing an officer. I can't It seems like you're doing all that today. Criminal trespass. I'm just asking you to give me the information as to what I can do to help you. And the warning even says you have a green eyes, which you do. Like I said, she said that uh this individual came about a week ago, asked her for help. She said that she could stay there. Uh I asked him to confirm that that was her house and her property. She said no, but uh she has an agreement with the owner that they've basically been up, I guess. She's been cleaning up a lot, but still doesn't allow her. I've told her that she cannot allow somebody to stay on somebody else's property that doesn't belong there. Right. >> Uh so she's aware. And so um you may need to uh just call the trespassing follow the reporting party to verify because she was already asking, "I want to know follow law and I want to know the report." So just make sure you follow the reporting party and verify that that's the house that we're supposed to look at, which is obviously the The 35-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing and concealing identity. According to the New Mexico Bureau of Health, [music] the estimate for the New Mexico homeless population sits just north of 30,000. And as of August of last year, [music] the governor announced plans to spend uh more than 120 million to try to get people off of the streets. >> [music]
