The children were removed from the house and placed with relatives due to concerns for their safety. Following the body cam footage, Thane was charged with felony secondderee sexual assault, felony false imprisonment, strangulation, and suffocation, resisting, obstructing, [music] and disorderly conduct. On October 14th, 2025, a year after the incident, Thne was convicted on all charges except strangulation and suffocation. He is yet [music] to be sentenced. However, depending on plea deals and concurrent versus consecutive sentencing, he could be sentenced to 5 to 40 years in prison. Every 68 seconds, someone in the United States is S8. And one out of every six American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed essay. That's not rare and it's not distant. That's happening in regular neighborhoods behind regular doors and sometimes officers are the ones who have to walk straight into the aftermath. This wasn't a calm conversation that got out of hand either. This was a suspect already choosing his ending the moment those cops showed up. Some people think if they stay defiant and combative, reality would change for them. But it doesn't. It just adds more problems. And his actions towards the cops may not prove his guilt, but it did make him look more suspicious. When someone refuses every chance to settle down, the atmosphere in the room or space always changes. Trust me, everyone in that room feels it, especially the ones too young to even understand why their stomach just dropped. Police weren't there for a noise complaint or some petty argument either. They were there because someone inside that home said a line had been crossed that should never be crossed, especially where trust is supposed to be. That kind of accusation doesn't just bring handcuffs to a door. It brings consequences. And whether he fights it or not, the truth has a way of always surfacing. Because you can argue with officers, you can resist arrest, but you can't run from the kind of allegation that turns a home into a crime scene in people's memories.
