This man gets detained for simply walking, then the officer admits he doesn't need a reason. Watch how a casual stop turns into a full-blown rights violation over ID and reasonable suspicion. So, what law has been broken that y'all are detaining people walking? Yeah, but what law is broken being broken that y'all are detaining people walking? >> The other officer gave me your description and told me that you're detained. >> Cuz earlier he's like, "Oh, you match the description, Hispanic, hat." >> And you started walking around like a lookout. So, that's reasonable suspicion. Based off that, y'all are being detained. At this point, you are detained. So, I need your name and date of birth. If you fail to give me your name and date of birth, you will go to jail for failed ID. Do you understand me? So, I'm being detained for breaking what law? It's not about breaking a law, it's reasonable suspicion. Like, what are you suspicious about? Listen, you're about to be put in handcuffs. And you're going to be hauled off to jail, and when I fingerprint you, I'll figure out who you are. Rights don't disappear just because an officer says reasonable suspicion.
