I don't want to deal with it, dude. Some homeless person's stuff. >> Is it hers? No. >> Um. >> Okay. Why is she fighting us? >> She has severe mental problems. She has uh bipolar one with severe uh mania and delusional thoughts. >> Okay. >> So, like she thinks she's gone right now, honestly. >> Uh >> that's probably why uh she told me >> I I wasn't able to see the stolen report yet. >> Okay. >> Okay. Can you explain the story of how she has it? >> Um well, we were uh in Stevens County. We had just got back from I came back from the casino. I've been with her for 10 years, but we're kind of separated because she's having this mental problem she has. She constantly threatens my life and I just I just don't want to deal with it no more. And but she lives in my house and so I kind of am still attached. We have a kid together and stuff. Well, anyway, we were coming back from the casino. She said she called me this uh one spot she calls me uh this devil person or whatever is in her head. Um she called me that and then she's like want wanted to get like physical with me and um and I pulled over and cuz this door is normally like um tied shut and I was wanting her to get out and the only way for me to get out was cross my seat and I was out of the car. She's like get out. I'm not going to do this with you. You know, get out of my car. I'm not going to do this. and she refused to get out of my car. And while I was sitting out of the car, I go to reach in and grab the keys and she grabs for at the same time and we kind of tussled with the keys for a second and then she grabbed them and I'm like, "Okay, whatever. If you're going to take my car, then I'm going to call the cops." And she started up and took off. >> Okay. Has she used the car before? >> No, she hasn't. >> She don't have a license. Nope. >> I know. But you guys are Were you guys living in the car together? >> No. No. I live with my mom. I live Are you the registered owner of >> Yes, I am. Okay. Um, >> you never let her borrow the car ever? >> Never. No, she don't have a license. I I've I've had this car maybe three or four month maybe three months and and she >> Say that again. >> I've had this car maybe 3 months. >> Okay. >> And uh we've been separated for probably about at least six now. And I wouldn't let her drive the car. No way. >> Okay. >> No. I I like you. >> You never gave her the keys. Never gave her >> No, she took the keys from me. Okay. Yeah. >> But you never gave her permission to >> No. No. No. No. I didn't give her permission. That's why I called the cops >> and made a police report and everything because >> and you're wanting to press charges against her for vehicle theft. >> Yes. Yeah. >> Even though you guys been together 10 years. >> Well, yeah. Been together 10 years, but I'm >> kidding. I'm sick of her [ __ ] dude. >> Honestly, it's it's been it's been time after >> How did you know the car was here? >> I didn't I've been driving around. Uh this is the second time I came to Spokane. Driving around just I knew. >> How do you know she was here, though? like >> uh didn't we were actually at the gas station and I was going to ask some people if they had seen the car or if they had heard of Israel because she goes by Israel her name but um I was going to ask if they had heard scene from her and then I looked over here and it's pretty distinctive is missing a fender and I was like oh [ __ ] and I was like oh there's my car you know just dumb luck like we've been driving around for 2 hours and I came here earlier drove around for several hours too. >> Okay. And then you found it. Was she in the car? >> Yeah. Uh no she wasn't. She was up on the concrete there um whiddling a stick and there was some guy in here and uh I went and tapped her on the shoulder and she's like, "Oh, wa shocked to see me." >> How do you So she did she ever walk back to this car? >> Yeah. Yeah. She came back, sat in the seat. She She was in the seat when I told her >> in the driver's seat. >> Yeah. Not when I first arrived, >> but she went came back. >> She came back and was like, "Well, uh call the cops and they're not going to come and help you." I said, "Okay, well, I'm calling them." And I went and called it off the grinder. I think >> you didn't tell me she was gonna find me. >> I didn't know she had fires for that. But >> he's saying that >> uh when he they were never had pos never gave her permission. Kind of took the keys from her from him, drove off, and then he called the police in Steven County, found it, never gave her permission. >> He's had it for three months. >> Sometimes >> she has had it for three months. >> He's had it for three months. >> You've had it for >> Never gave him permission. Lots of press charges. >> Okay. So >> I'm good with that. Yeah. >> So vehicle or we can do possession. >> I'm going to do both. >> Okay. >> That's fine. I'm I just you good with handling this part? >> Yeah. >> Thanks. Um Okay. Let me go knock out the arrest dock and I'm going to have someone else transport. >> I'm going to have someone else transport. But Sergeant's doctor cuz it's a blue team cuz I need her. >> Okay. Is what it is. >> Yeah. >> Hey ma'am. I'm Sergeant Dollar. I'm I'm these guys' boss. I want to have a conversation with you. Basically, it's it's an administrative uh conversation. It has nothing to do with the criminal aspects of this thing. It has to do with the use of force, that type of thing. Will you talk to me >> right now or? >> Right now, I mean, I don't know. >> One spot's stupid [ __ ] ass out of the car the other day and drove here. >> You what? >> I just said I kicked one spot your [ __ ] ass out of that car the other day. Okay. >> And drove here. So, it's her car. She was driving it. I just got pissed and was like, you >> Okay. Okay. Here's here's where my questions are. So at some point you walking away from the car over here. Didn't want to be like in the middle of it. I mean I sorry I >> Okay. And so Officer Zibi, he comes over to you and tells you, "Hey, like you're not free to go. You need to stop." That type of thing. Is that sound about right? >> Um is there any reason why you didn't comply with him? I I mean, you can be brutally honest with me. It's the It's part of the game. Okay. Okay. All right. And so um at some point you kind of tense up and everything and he's getting tense. It's two people. It's, you know, you guys are having a wrestle match. Is that kind of Is that kind of fair to >> Yeah. Sorry. >> All right. All right. Did you throw some elbows, you know, like to get them off? >> Sorry. Damn it. >> It wasn't really to get him off just whoops. Sorry. And damn it. >> I mean, I I guess is that your natural reaction? Like if somebody's grabbing you, you're going to throw some elbows and everything. Do did you notice if any caught him? Like did you feel like help? >> I don't think I nothing too solid. >> Okay. All right. Any particular reason why? Well, so once you start throwing throwing elbows on you, everything what made you stop? >> Uh, well, when two cops you want to smash your head in the ground, if you're going toing get your head smashed, then you either stop and get >> you want to you don't want to be hurt, right? >> Well, no, really not hurt. Just >> Okay. >> Did you ever think that like I mean by not complying with those off the off? >> I've done that a few times off. >> And what what happens what happens every time is we end up in this, right? you end up somebody ends up getting scuffed up, hurt, whatever, and you end up with the other charges on you, which again is an entirely other matter. >> So, the officer um once he uh it sounds like what what made you finally stop other than you, you >> getting my head smashed in? >> Okay. But did they smash your head? >> No, not smash. I mean, if you're fighting two cops and you're a chick and you weigh 120 lbs, it's only advisable after a little bit. >> So, you were done stop you were done. >> And at that point, did you fight anymore? Did you do anything else? No, sir. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Well, thank you for not >> Thank you for not turning this into a a hospital visit by my guys or you or anything like that. Um uh so at this point in time, do you think basically uh was this kind of like uh was it fair? Did you did you feel like this was reasonable given all the circumstances? >> Uh whoops, sorry, and damage, sir. >> What's What do you >> It's a whoop, sorry, and damn it, sir. >> Whoops, sorry, and damn. I'm going to have to remember that offline. Whoops, sorry, and damn. Whoops, sorry, and damn. Okay. All right. You got any injuries on you or anything like that? >> I'm good. So, >> okay. Any scuffs? >> I am tough, too. >> I I get it. You're probably tough. I I get it. Totally. Okay. >> Okay. >> Well, one of my guys over there. He's his H his knuckles are all rubbed down raw and everything trying to take you into custody and everything. >> I just need to know if you have any if you have any of the similar things stuff. I've got one of our guys is going to come back here. He's going to take some photos. He's going to take some photos of your hands and things like that. Um >> so, you don't need any medical attention, right? saw you're here. >> Okay. All right. Do you have any questions of me at all? >> Okay. I'm glad you're okay. Live to fight another day, but I hope that you wouldn't fight our police because uh it's it's probably a damn good thing you aren't going to the hospital. >> Yeah. >> Given all things >> That's why I said stop. >> Yeah. All things considered, it's a good thing you're not going to the hospital. Okay. All right. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music]
