On July 9th, 2024, officers responded to a call reporting a disturbance caused by an aggressive couple at a local hotel. I'm on the north side of the big truck and he walked by with a female and started yelling at us, you know, profanities saying big truck, you know, small man, you're a piece of [ __ ] screaming at us for no reason. So, my business partner said, "Ah, yeah, keep walking." We turned our backs, then he runs straight at us. Okay. Came at us, we were able to talk him down for a little bit. We called 911, tried to keep him off, tried to keep him off, and then finally then I pull up the phone to video the way he was acting and he came at me and he came up, pushed me in the face and then my partner popped him, he ran off and then he came back. My partner had a kid in the car, he drove away to get the kid out of the situation. Then he came back again and my other friend's an ex-NFL player. Inside, they encountered a man who matched the description given by the witness and attempted to take him into custody. The man, however, resisted arrest crying and pleading for the officers to release him. His resistance included yelling and attempting to pull away, which required the officers to exert additional effort to detain him. This time they located a woman matching the description of the second individual involved, seated and drinking coffee. Officers approached her for a preliminary conversation, asking some basic questions to gauge her state of mind and involvement in the disturbance. However, after this initial interaction, they decided not to take immediate action, returning instead to their patrol vehicle to discuss the situation with their fellow officers and determine their next steps. Despite her objections, officers successfully restrained her and escorted her out of the hotel, placing her alongside the man in the patrol vehicle. Um, you know, and we already heard his side of the story and his friend's. So. And she's under the influence, too? both of them. Okay.
