On March 13th, police received multiple 911 calls about a man driving in reverse down a busy road. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for the 13th time. Stay in your car. Stay in your car. I was just I was just trying to get it out of the road. All right, get back in the car, man. All right, we got multiple people calling on you driving in reverse. >> Listen, listen, the car the car was was stuck in reverse and it's my friend's car. >> All right, you didn't think that was the best idea to drive in reverse on the table? >> that worked with me was following me. Do you understand when multiple people call in about you driving in reverse on a main road? Yeah, I had I had there was somebody that was following that was following me because this is my this is my [ __ ] girlfriend's car and it broke down this morning was dropping me off at work and I had somebody follow me so I go to auto parts store to get something because it was the shifter thing had something stuck in it. So now I was just trying to get it to to Wawa cuz she's going to meet me at Wawa to come and get it. >> So let me get this straight, you drive backwards. I I had no other way to do anything. It would only go in reverse. So somebody was following you, right? So you didn't think maybe just get a ride with him, go to the auto parts store, then go back to your car. >> Well, everybody's leaving Let me drive my car in reverse on a main road going 45 mph. >> going 45 though. But I everybody's leaving and going home from work. So I would have been stuck all the way at the job and waiting for somebody to come. Don't you think that would have been a better option though? And like I said, I just had to get to Wawa so I could get home and I had somebody was coming to pick me up at Wawa and somebody was following me. That's the only reason why I did it. You're driving backwards on a main road. You're not seeing where that's that's not good. People are calling us left and right, you're going backwards. You could have hurt someone. Were you like looking behind like this or >> had the whole body I had my whole body turned so I could see where I was driving. That's not safe. What if you crashed into someone or ran someone over? >> I wasn't I wasn't going fast enough. I would I mean you're operating a car on a main I or road, okay? I just successfully successfully graduated from EPIC. What's that? About 1 month and 1 year. 1 month and 1 year. Yeah, that's since I got out of jail. But the it was the year before that that I got pulled over driving. Was that in St. Johns where you were incarcerated? Um here, too. Huh? I was incarcerated half nine half in St. Johns and half here. Oh, okay.
