Harris County police officer mistakenly approached a man outside his home believing him to be a criminal suspect from Louisiana the man 40-year-old Clarence Evans was playing in the front yard with his children when the officer arrived the officer claimed that clarence's dog didn't belong to him in response Clarence calmly explained that he had paperwork to prove ownership however the situation escalated when the officer demanded clarence's ID Clarence refused asserting his rights in an astonishing turn of events the officer attempted to Cuff Clarence while incorrectly addressing him as Quinton what happened next was truly unbelievable calm down C no hell sir he don't even know my name and tell him I have a war what what did he do that's what I'm saying for what for what from Louisiana for what for what I don't even live in Louisiana so how would I have you don't know my name so how can you tell me I have over in Louisiana sir he don't even live in Louisiana no no no no repeated assurances from Clarence and his wife that they had the wrong man the officer stubbornly refused to back down or release Clarance escalating the situation unnecessarily okay on told me three different names you woke up and told me three different names that's the third name you just know no I'm not I'm not going to be the next [ __ ] you K [ __ ] no no no no his name is not Quinton qu pointing out the clear mistake however in a shocking display of stubbornness the officer refused to accept that he had the wrong person and continued his attempt to arrest Clarence despite undeniable evidence proving he was not the suspect sir that his name is not Quinn that's our dog you just told me three different names you pulled up on some [ __ ] talking about I got a stolen dog my dog is chipped I got CH was born let me see the ID and then you talking about some [ __ ] in Louisiana then you said my name is quin my name is not no Quin I'm not telling you my name but it's not Quin I'm Clarence with a photo of a black man with locks a description that clearly did not match him despite clarence's protests and insistence on their mistake the officers escalated the situation forcibly obtaining his wallet and refusing to back down until they could examine his ID for themselves no please stop stop stop stop please stop please leave him alone please to get different no no please that is not him please leave him alone get out my yard man I need to report on this I need to report no you need to get the [ __ ] out of my yard you just you just said I'm somebody name got black come on you pull in front of my yard because I'm black with Dre and tell me I got a war RAC kids was out here [ __ ] kids okay knowing that individuals with such Authority can act in this manner is truly alarming shortly after this incident went viral the officers involved were placed under investigation for their actions however no charges were filed due to a supposed lack of evidence unfortunately framing innocent people isn't the only questionable action some officers take in this next case an officer's actions were so blatantly racist that they not only resulted in his termination from the police force but also led to a significant penalty a hefty $100,000 fine the incident occurred in San Diego when officer Matt Dees approached Amari Johnson accusing him of smoking in a designated non-smoking area however Johnson did not have a lighter cigarette or vape in his possession and calmly explained that he was simply waiting for his friend what happened next escalated the situation further get off me bro is you grabbing me for bro I already told you is coming straight what I tell you I told you I waiting for somebody to come here they right here BR hey bro you can't do that hey right when I come back instead of him just apologizing being like Oh you're right I get it he tries to grab him and choke him and put him on the [ __ ] thing obviously the my friend is going to put his hands back like no one's going to get choked and [ __ ] bro these fo's in the wrong and he could just say that and let it go and instead he's trying to [ __ ] I don't know what the's trying just trying to figure out what's going on bro he's being a whole ass [ __ ] bro on God and you know you're wrong bro however during their conversation stes unintentionally reveals the true reason behind at that point the situation might have been diffused but Dees wasn't finished he chose to escalate matters further and proceeded with arresting Johnson say that I understand your so listen to me you're being placed under arrest for 241c okay yep all right what's the 241 assault on a police officer assault on an officer hey come on hey bet hey bro you are a whole ass [ __ ] bro hey hey call what I'm saying we can play this game all day remember there was a right there that's fine after searching Johnson de just placed him in the back of his patrol car and took him away on charges in his police report Dees allegedly lied claiming he had seen Johnson smoke sming and that Johnson had assumed a fighting stance when approached Johnson refused to let this stand and decided to sue both the city of lame Mesa and dges for excessive force and wrongful arrest about a month into the lawsuit lamea agreed to settle by paying Johnson $25,000 while none of that money came from de's own pocket he
