[Music] On May 3rd, 2024, a heated argument at a fast food drive-thru turned into an intense parking lot confrontation when a McDonald's employee took the situation from a verbal dispute to a physical altercation. What began as a shouting match escalated, resulting in the employee facing felony charges. This incident quickly became more than just a workplace disagreement. [Music] Hey, can I speak to the manager? [Music] >> All right. >> Hey, what's up Can you speak to me real quick? Oh, go ahead and finish that up real quick. So, tell me what occurred. >> Say it again. >> Tell me what occurred today. What happened? >> The window >> only me and him. Me and him got both on the headset. So, I'm trying to tell I'm trying to tell them I when they was coming to the thing, see how our time look right now. When they came to the thing, they was like, "Oh, you didn't take my order." I said, "Yeah, I know. I I know I didn't take your order. It was busy. It's only me and him. I got other crimes than other fools. I'm like, "Can you go?" I'm like, "Can you go back around?" She was like, "No, I'm not going back around." The man in the front seat, he wasn't saying anything. It was two ladies that it was one in the passenger seat and it was one in the back seat. >> Mhm. >> The lady in the passenger seat, she says, "No, we're not going around." I said, "Well, then I can't put your order in right here because I have other cars and I have other food. I didn't want everything to go cold." So, she was like, "Well," I said, "Okay, well, I'm going to call the police." I called the police the first time. And it was like okay that they was going to send somebody out. So I went outside to give the people and I think the second party behind them had a car pay. So I was just asked him did he have card cash? I had him go to the window to try to pay them out. I have to squeeze through right there. So when I'm squeezing through right there both of them like this in my face sticking the middle finger just while her tongue out. I'm like okay. So next thing you know I see this all in my face. So I'm like I just move her phone on her hand. She got her phone all in my face and I'm trying to walk past. I'm this little the door right here. When I'm about to pass, she about to hit me. He about to hit me. No. Matter of fact, she was about to hit me on the floor. He was out the car and that's when the other girl came around from the passenger seat with the other girl and tried to walk up on me. You think I'm going to both have him hit me? No. I was trying to I was trying to be the bigger person, but it's every week. It's something always come here. It's every week and I just love it. That's all. Do you have your ID with you? >> I don't have my I think I have a picture of my ID. I don't >> You have your picture? >> Yeah. Okay. No further. >> Stand by real quick. Okay. >> Can I get your name real quick? >> Em. >> So, what's she saying? >> So, um yeah, I'm trying I'm going try to run her now. I tried running around too, but she ain't returning. Um, so she says she was attending the customers. They got to the window. >> From the start, this drive-thru drama was serving pure chaos. The employee is trying to explain herself to the cops, talking about how it's just her and one other guy holding down the fort while customers refuse to circle back. You can almost feel her frustration bubbling over the fries. But trust me, her version of customer service is about to take a serious turn. >> Even put her their order in. She said, "No, I wasn't able to. We were too busy. Please turn around >> so I could put your order in." >> Hey, I'm thinking we're going to have a 10:15. Just heads up. >> Yeah. Uh, well, I from what I've seen on the video they just showed me, it looks like battery times two and then burglar. Burglary. >> What she took? >> Come here. >> She didn't take anything. >> So burglary is entering a, you know, residence or conveyance without permission >> and committing another crime with it. So look what happens. Let's see if we can do that surveillance footage. It's pretty >> clearcut to me. >> 23 22. >> So she opens her door back here. She opens her door. >> She opens her door and does Oh, it's battery. >> Yeah. Well, it's going to be >> Did she take the phone? >> No. >> But she tried to grab it cuz they were videotaping. >> And then want to press >> Yeah. >> See if um >> Did you do them already? >> Yeah. >> Let me run this trick real quick. >> See if um she'll pull up any surveillance video for you. >> They said they'll got to come back at 6:00 a.m. on Monday. She just said step up. >> Step out here. I'll >> beat you. 238. >> Oh yeah, that's battery. There's going to be burglary as well. >> Did she take it? >> From what she told me, she slapped the phone off her hand. >> It looks like she has a phone in her hand. [Music] >> How's it going, you guys? Hello. Okay, I am going to have you guys fill out some papers. Okay. >> Um, when she reached in the car, did she take the phone? >> Yes. >> So, she actually grabbed the phone >> and had I know I saw the video. I'm asking. I have to ask. >> So, she reached in the car, she grabs the phone. When she grabbed the phone, >> as officers review the footage, things start clicking faster than a fryer timer. Turns out our fast food fighter didn't just lose her temper. She reached right into a customer's car. That move took her from bad day at work to burglary territory. And if you think the drama ends with that slap, just wait till the paperwork starts piling up. >> Her have possession of it. What happened? Like did So where's your phone? Grab that phone. >> Grab it. >> Okay. So say you have the phone. Did she take it >> or did you have it and she had it like this? >> No, we don't expect she took it. >> We don't expect she can take and girls come to she and what to do. >> I got you. Okay, so look. I have three pins. One >> two three. Okay, I have three papers. On these papers, you're going to fill out all this information. I know we have your ID, but you have to fill this out. Okay. You have to put first, middle, last name, date of birth, your home address, business address, phone number. >> Okay. You're going to fill out here what happened. >> Don't don't like talk to whatever you saw. Whatever you saw, whatever you saw. Three complete three different things. Okay. Don't like get what he said and put it on yours. Don't get what she said and put on yours. Put your own your own remembering of what happened. Okay. >> I can use translate. Um, you can write it in your language if you need to. It doesn't matter. >> If you need to, that's fine. >> Okay. If one of you can write it in English, that's good. >> So, if one of you wants to use a translator on the phone, you can do that. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Okay. All right, you guys. >> So, again, what did she say? >> So, she says she um she was attending customers. They pulled up to the front of the window. Um, she wasn't able to attend them because they were extremely busy. She told them to turn back. So >> 1111, show me off at 11:19. >> Um, they stood there at the window. >> They started being belligerent with her. >> Um, she went out the window. She went out the window so she could attend them. Um, she was squeezing through. They stuck the middle finger at her and that's when she went out and, >> you know, it's it's an arrest and it's robbery. >> It's robbery. She actually had possess. So she like O'Neal's on his phone. She takes it and she like keeps it away from him. So she deprived them of it. So it's robbery >> and burglary >> and burglary >> and battery times two. >> There's 13 on the motorcycle and right >> the male's filling in on traffic. >> That's all right. So let's let's watch it again. And I have another video. >> Romeo 06 M Y Z R >> going be attached to a black Harley-Davidson going to be at the 68. >> She said step out here. I'mma beat your So we got >> assault 233. [Applause] >> Got to make sure she don't leave. Oh, >> was she in the front seat? >> 2334. >> As officers gather statements, the truth starts sizzling hotter than a frier basket. It turns out that our employee didn't just reach in. She fully grabbed the customer's phone, making this a robbery, not just a scuffle. Add burglary and double battery to the mix and her bad day at work just turned into a criminal combo meal. And trust me, it's not over yet. >> She's in the front seat. 12 code 5. >> 2334. >> Oh, I wish the people behind them would have >> 2334. >> Somebody said they saw it, but they left. >> They're trying to keep the door closed. So traffic victims are trying to keep it closed. >> Hotel Yuki Papa Victor 36 HYP V36 >> on a black Chevy Equinox. >> Yeah. Arms red and >> blind. >> It's easy. >> 2335. >> Wouldn't you want to do like a a written statement or something like that? >> I don't care. I'll write it. >> Okay. >> All right. So, look. Here's the problem. What you were saying and what happened are not the same thing. Listen, >> I I understand. But listen to me. Listen listen >> what you you're saying they they were recording. You know they're literally >> that whole It's on camera. >> She literally like I literally literally I >> I'm telling you. Okay. You're going to jail >> for real? >> Yes, you are. So, I'm going to have you turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> Can I um call my mom really fast? >> I'll let you call your mom when we get to the car. >> Oh my. Yeah. >> Okay. So, look. >> You can never open somebody's car and touch them. >> But she had my door open. >> No, she didn't. It's on video. >> It's on video you opening the door. >> I don't remember me opening no door, though. I would have told you. I remember y'all. I got you. >> I already know how y'all. >> I understand that we don't have a choice because they're, >> you know, it's not our choice to make. this incident occurred and now we kind of have to do our job. That's That's what it is. >> Can I call my mom? >> I'm going to let you call I'm going to let you call your mom. Do you have your phone? >> It's over there. >> We'll get it. >> I'll have him get your phone. Is your wallet here? >> Is your ID already? >> Yeah. >> 2345. >> What's his name? >> Anthony. Anthony, can you grab her phone for me when you get a chance? >> Do you need like a wallet or something or? >> No, I don't have my wallet. I just have my phone, my charger, my jacket, and that's about it. >> So, yeah, fortunately, they want to prosecute. Um, it's all on video of you going in the car. So, >> she like I won't even tell y'all no lie because I already >> in the future. You just got to diss with yourself. >> I already know. I already >> And if they're going to if they're going to sit at the window, >> take off your headset. if they're going to sit at the window and call cause a disturbance. >> From the start, things were already heating up faster than a frier left on Max. Officers arrived to calm things down, but the story they're hearing doesn't match the footage they've just seen. The worker claims she didn't open the customer's door, but the video contradicts her account. And if she thinks this talk is going her way, oh, just wait. We can do things like that. >> I know. But we can we can come and do something about that. But then when we come and you've taken these actions, >> I already called her and is detained. >> Can I call my mom? >> I already called her. >> Yeah, she can talk to her. >> Look, we'll get you got to take it out of >> like I said, we'll get this done as fast as we can. Okay. your problem. >> I just I just I just want to >> I don't know why. >> All right, you guys ready? >> Let's get out of here. >> They going to laugh at this. They That's all they want. Like, >> don't let them laugh. Don't Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. I just Man, I'm not even this type of bro this. >> Yeah. >> Oh, you are? >> No. >> Oh, we just did. >> You said >> Okay, go ahead. >> No, do it. >> No, >> they already signed you an offense number, >> guys. It's easy to fill. [Music] >> What? >> Hello. This guy northbound at 31. >> I don't know. I'm going to call you in the morning. I'm >> 68 Fox. Make sure you search on a black. >> I don't want to be sad. >> Just watch it for a second, man. >> Because a lady came through the drivethru, whatever, be her weird or whatever. So, I was trying to ask her, can she go back around? And she was like, no. So, I'm like, you know what? I'm trying to be the bigger person. They get the other back. They full whatever. So they was recording me short short long story short they was recording me taking the fingers going all that you know whoever they cancel could vote me and it works. >> No n >> like No, I didn't like not like that fight. >> You're confusing me. >> What' you say? >> No. Cuz why didn't you say that in there? >> I said it last moment, too. I told you like, "Forget about him." >> I didn't hear you. And then we pulled the offense and the CCH and all that. >> You can You can still do it if if you want to. All you have to do is pull the report in your name >> and the OCA goes to you. It doesn't matter who pulled it. >> I don't have any recording. >> Yeah. >> Then pull your car up. at work. >> All right. >> All right. Look, say your goodbyes real quick cuz we we got >> I'm going to let me let me cuz I I wasn't sure what was the last. >> As officers wrap things up, the mood shifts from denial to reality. The worker's confidence fades once the cuffs click. And now it's all about calling her mom and processing what just went down. She tries to explain it away, but the footage already told the story. And if she thinks that's the end, just wait for what follows next. >> I was going to call you in. >> We'll let you get your phone numbers out of your phone down there. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. They're going to let me get my phone. All right. I love you. I'll talk to you later. >> Here. Let me see your phone. >> All right. >> Uh, look, you don't have anything on your pockets that's going to be contraband in the jail. No type of drugs, narcotics, grenades, anything like that. Okay. Perfect. >> You ask her and tell my cousin that >> I don't know what she's going to ask. >> I could just speak to her. >> Um, so look, she I will make sure she gets your phone number when she gets to the jail and she'll call you and she'll be able to get her mom's number then, but her phone's not working right now. >> Oh my god. Okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> Let me get Let me get you the rest of her stuff real quick. No. You got victim rights? Shh. I don't think I do. That I don't have. >> 1212. Your OCTA is 3019. >> Hey, just for the record, Marin didn't say that he was taking it in there. >> 2356. >> Like cuz he's like, I said I was taking. I was like, no you didn't. >> No, you didn't. >> I was like, you actually said no. Like you were like, if you want it. And I'm like, I'll do it. >> Someone just take it, bro. Why? Uh, no, I know. But I was like, I don't know why you're acting like I'm stealing it from you. >> I mean, I I would if I could, but you know, can't really be on his own. >> Now it's the quiet ride to reality. The officer double checks for anything illegal while she tries to hold on to a bit of calm, calling her family one last time before heading off. The humor fades, replaced by that cold understanding. Fast food shifts end. But felony charges, those stick around a whole lot longer. She was charged with two counts of burglary with assault or battery and one count of robbery by sudden snatching. However, prosecutors later dropped all charges, stating the evidence didn't support such serious accusations and pursuing them wasn't in the community's best interest.
