He's all in the house. These were moments when suspects set traps for officers and launched brutal attacks. Starting with the most shocking case where the suspect ruthlessly set trap after trap for the unsuspecting officers. On March 29th, 2024, a Sparks police officer in Nevada pulled over 34year-old Anthony Wade for driving a Ford truck without license plates, unaware he was walking into a trap. Oh [ __ ] Short fire. Short slide. It's going westbound. Eastbound. Wade fired at the officer who narrowly avoided injury. One bullet grazed his neck and head while his vest stopped another. Wade then fled in his vehicle, crashed shortly after, and ran on foot, causing a police lockdown of the entire neighborhood. Moments later, dispatch got a call from a homeowner saying the suspect had broken into her house, leading to the quick deployment of armed officers to the scene. He put a gun on my head. He was on the backyard and came inside. Where is he? I think he went to the other house. Wait, which way? Which way? He went this way. In the backyard and then I think he jumped the the fence that I don't know. Police. Police department. Hey, just cover me just in case the guy might be in there. Police department, show me your hand. Show me your hands. Where's police? Put your hands up. Stop. It doesn't look like anyone's in there. All right, so we have a critical incident that's going on. It's kind of dangerous right now. Did anyone jump inside your yard or backyard? No. Where you headed to? Okay. Um, what I need you to do, can you go inside your house and shelter in place? Unbeknownst to the officers, Wade was hiding in the backseat of a car, holding the homeowner hostage. He had planned for her to drive him out of the neighborhood, but when that became impossible, he forced her back into the house. By the time officers were ready to return and search the residence, Wade, now close to the house he had broken into, was already waiting. This time with more traps set back inside. Yeah. Stand up. Are you hurt? Get her out. Get her out. Get her up. Get her. I got you. I got her. I got her. Over here. Here. I got one hand. You get the other. Let's go. Get her behind the car. Stay tight here, man. Get the [ __ ] out of there. One officer swiftly pulled the hostage to safety while several brave officers stayed behind to confront Wade. One officer was shot, but his vest stopped the bullet while another narrowly escaped injury when a bullet struck his hearing protection. The situation didn't end there. Wade managed to escape again, caught by a police drone as he jumped a fence into another property. This led officers to quickly rescue the woman inside. Wade then barricaded himself in the house, refusing to surrender despite hours of failed negotiations. When SWAT officers eventually breached the house, they found no trace of him. However, as they moved toward the garage, they unknowingly walked right into another trap. It out. I got you. The officers retreated once again as Wade opened fire on them. After 2 hours of unsuccessful attempts to make contact, they moved toward the garage once more where they found Wade dead. An autopsy later revealed he had died from a gunshot wound. In the next case, the suspect fired directly at the officer. Who's all in the house? It's me. On February 11th, 2022, Phoenix police went to the home of 36-year-old Morris Richard Jones 3 after he said armed intruders had broken in and shot his wife. Phoenix 911. Where is your emergency? Who's all in the house? Huh? Who's all in the house? It's me. Who's you? I'm being shot. Richard opened fire on the officers with the one in front taking the brunt of it, being shot multiple times in the chest before managing to escape. Other officers were also hit, forcing them to fall back, call for backup, and secure the area. Meanwhile, Richard barricaded himself inside with his wife, who he had already shot. After a long standoff, Richard's brother, who was also inside, came out holding the couple's infant and surrendered. As officers rushed to rescue the baby, whom the brother had placed on the front porch, Richard opened fire again. Hey, come with me. Baby, baby. Do door. I got Several officers were shot and others were injured by shrapnel during the rescue attempt. Eventually, SWAT officers arrived with advanced equipment to rescue the baby. I need it here. Baby, baby. Go, go, go, go. [Music] It's okay. Morris, this is the Phoenix Police SWAT team. We are out here. We are trying to save your life. It is very important that I talk to you right now. This is the number you need to call, the number you need to answer. SWAT officers broke into the home and found Richard dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. They also found his wife, 29-year-old Shatifa Lobi, who had been shot. In total, nine officers were injured with the first responder suffering the most serious wounds. Thankfully, all the officers survived. In the next case, the cops were shocked when a suspect they had already clashed with tricked them into coming back to his house where he had set up traps to ambush them. On October 12th, 2022, Connecticut police chased Nicholas Brer after a bar fight got him kicked out of the establishment. Officers followed him and his brother's truck, eventually pulling them over. Busted. Hang tight in the truck. No, I'm going to go talk with the cop and my brother. See, I'm going to talk I'm going to talk with my brother and yourself. A struggle broke out between Nicholas and the police, but he was let go with a public disturbance ticket. Here is sidewalks from here to my home, so go yourself. Take this one home. I will be right back for this one. No. No. Going to jail. Get in the car. They don't have enough people here to take me to jail. I'm going to walk home. Einhorn is Finkle. Finle is Einhorn. He called 911, making up an emergency to trick officers into coming to his house. Once they arrived, he put on camouflage, armed himself, and hid by the side door, waiting for the officers who were in for a big surprise. [Music] 23 of them fire. Hidden in some bushes in front of his house, Nicholas opened fire on the three officers who arrived. He fatally shot two of them while the third officer was able to escape with a gunshot wound to the leg. But Nicholas's attack didn't stop there. He continued to shoot at the two officers he had already downed. Oh. Damn. Ambulance. The officer, lucky to have survived while his colleagues fell, now had one critical task. Stop the shooter. As Nicholas kept firing at his presumed dead victims at close range, the officer, determined to act, did something truly remarkable. Oh, [ __ ] Oh [ __ ] Oh my god. Oh my god. Scream in horror as officers took down their son with a single precise shot from 40 yard away, hitting him at the base of the skull and killing him instantly. During his rampage, Nicholas fired a total of 80 shots, 24 of which struck and killed the first officer, and six of which fatally wounded the second officer. The third officer, who fired the shot that ended Nicholas's life, survived his own gunshot wound. Next, you'll see how a dangerous criminal overpowered a cop and pushed him to the brink of death. [Applause] Jesus. On the morning of April 4th, 2025, a trooper responded to what appeared to be a routine single vehicle crash near the Ohio Pennsylvania state line. But the officer had no idea he was walking into a trap. Little did the officer know the driver wasn't a normal person. He was a dangerous criminal with 10 felony convictions and was ready to do whatever he could to get out of the situation. Disregard. I was a truck driver. I think it's a black male with a pink shirt. The driver, later identified as Desawn Leath, tried to block the trooper from reaching the crash site and even got physical to stop him, but the trooper stayed calm. About 20 seconds into the confrontation, Leath suddenly took off running. It seemed like he was fleeing, but it was all part of the setup. He jumped into the police cruiser and began driving recklessly. And then just start the car. Go. [Music] patrol car in the Pennsylvania. I'm okay. I was there. Hey, you get off the radio. The pursuit lasted for several miles until the officers managed to execute a perfect pit maneuver and it worked.
