Jennifer Gledill, a Utah mother of three, is accused of murdering her aranged husband. Matthew Johnson, a 51-year-old Utah National Guardsman, on September 22nd, 2024. Authorities alleged Gladill shot Johnson in the head while he slept in their Cottonwood Heights home. She then reportedly placed his body in a rooftop storage container, slid it down the stairs, loaded it into her minivan, and buried it in a shallow grave north of their home. 2 days prior to the alleged murder, Ghill texted her father requesting $13,000. He sent her $1,000 via Venmo. An informant who claimed to be involved with Gadill reported that she confessed to the killing and disposal of Johnson's body. Investigators found blood stains on the bed frame and carpet, as well as evidence of attempted cleanup, including a new mattress. Glled Hill's parents were arrested on obstruction of justice charges for allegedly assisting in cleaning the crime scene. Glad Hill has pleaded not guilty to nine felony charges, including first-degree murder, and is being held without bail. Her trial is scheduled for December 2025.
