They did what? >> Cuz I was being held yesterday. Cuz I haven't done anything, guys. I just said frustration cuz I'm guilty. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> An [music] angry worker assumes her outburst is just talk until the cops showed up. What begins as frustration inside a Tulsa Walmart quickly turns into a real threat. Stick around and join our community by liking, commenting, and subscribing. Tulsa police are called to Walmart just before 8:00 a.m. after reports of [music] a worker threatening her manager and co-workers. And they find her sitting in her car with a gun. >> Nothing. I was irritated. >> What were you irritated about? >> They're even clear. >> Yes, they hurt being ny yesterday. >> They did what? >> Cuz I was being na yesterday. >> Okay. What What did they do about that? >> Brought me up for >> brush you up. Did they fire you? No. >> No. Okay. Um, so what's the reason that you think the police have been called today? >> I don't know. >> Cuz I haven't done anything. I just said it frustration cuz I'm irritated. >> What' you say to that? >> I didn't say anything to anybody. >> Police identify her as 36-year-old [music] Adrien Edwards, now in serious trouble over what she said or claims she didn't during the night shift. What did you say that maybe they misunderstood about? >> Cuz they don't understand me. Cuz they thought I was uh cuz I was I was sick yesterday and they wouldn't let me go home at all. >> Okay. It's hard to be filled until 1 till 3. >> Were you supposed to work today? >> I was working last night. Yes. >> Okay. You work like the graveyard today? She says she was just sitting in her car smoking a cigarette, but after that kind of threat, who's believing her? >> Do you have an ID or anything like that? All right. talk to her for a minute while I run this. >> All right. So, you're kind of telling her this didn't say anything. You sure we didn't say anything to anyone about how pissed off you were? Nothing like that. >> I was I was pissed off, but I wasn't saying I was saying frustration. >> Saying what? >> About with the gun and everything. >> What did you say about the gun? >> Popping off. But I was trying to how I feel without me doing with the with the threat. >> Adrienne admits mentioning a gun, but says she didn't mean it. She'd just been disciplined for being mouthy and claims she was venting after a rough shift. >> With me by yelling, that's all I want uh post. >> Okay. >> Fine with me being frustrated. So, if I understand correctly, you're saying if you you believe that if you vent out your frustration, it'll keep you from actually doing the action. >> Right. Okay. >> How long have you worked here? >> Since June of this year. >> It was like the 8th of June started. >> Okay. Have you ever been in trouble before with talk to police or any other police department? Anything like that? >> No, Steve. That was about it. Okay. >> I have no rewards for arrest. >> Okay. >> So, what do you do here? >> Overnight soccer. >> Oh, that's a rough job. >> Yes. >> You work 5 days a week? >> Yes. >> Overnight stuff's hard. >> Yes, very much so. And I'm under a lot of stress. >> Okay, that's understandable. >> I have no drugs on car. All I have is that box for safety. That's about it. >> Okay. Just the one. >> Just that one. Okay. >> And yes, it was loaded just for that reason. >> Even stranger, she told cops there was a loaded gun in her car. Then they found her still sitting there an hour later. Like, girl, what were you doing waiting for the gun to clock out too? >> For what reason? >> For safety. I work night and I come outside. >> Understandable. >> In the area that I work in. Um, >> we've got all the So, I don't know. Come over here. >> Okay, I don't know if you guys want to make this a mental health bang or a uh >> threats, but she definitely told the employee cuz she can discipline it. >> Yeah. Well, apparently there is a gun on the call. Yeah. >> So that's when hurting a violent act with the means to do it such a >> Sounds good. So we're looking more at witness statements. Correct. >> Sounds good. >> The threat was real. Police didn't waste time. Adrienne was placed under arrest. >> Is this car really going to hurt back out next to you? >> All right. Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> So, I lost my job then. >> Can I at least hand my badge and my discount card? Relax. Okay. I'm going to talk to my supervisor. >> All right. She's going to be searching you. So, is there anything on it? He's going to poke, stick, nothing like that. >> No, my box is in my car. >> You have no sharp needles? >> No, I don't do that that stuff at all. I'm clean for the cigarettes. >> I figured, but I ask everybody cuz you never know. Some people find stuff in their pockets. >> I Yeah, like I said, I don't >> Okay. All right. Do you have any weapons anywhere else? >> No, I don't. Yeah. >> Okay. Can I see what somewhere else I have inside you? I really >> And then I have the box for the pistol as well. Grab that. >> Adrienne's led to the patrol car and one officer decides it's time for some real talk. She insists she didn't mean it. But let's be honest, that excuse doesn't usually work when there's a gun involved. You got front passenger side. Go ahead and stand right there for me. I got to move some stuff just real quick. So, do we do we kind of understand kind of the the problem that happened today? Are you still confused on that? Like what? >> No, I was frustrated. I can't say what I need to say to pay out frustration. >> Well, when cops, >> well, listen, listen. You can to an extent, but when you when you threaten Listen, listen. It doesn't matter. >> It's the same as if somebody goes in and like threatens a school or something. So, I wasn't actually going to do it. Especially when you have the ability to carry out the act when you actually have a gun in your car. >> See, I wasn't going to really do it. >> Doesn't matter. We don't We can't operate that way. We can't operate that way cuz if we leave you here and then you go in cuz it's a guy doesn't matter. You're an adult. I wish I leave. >> You No, it doesn't matter. You're an adult. The words you say matter. Words matter. And when you threat and when you threaten someone, it is not an empty statement that just kind of goes through statement. >> Well, that's you. The rest of the world does not work that way. So, have a seat. Sit down. It's >> kind of hard for me to sit down. You go on the other side. >> Yeah, I don't think they were going to hire you back anyway. H, >> you threatened your boss. >> How are the boys threatening me? >> The words you used in the structure you used them is called a threat. Thanks, sir. >> Now, an officer briefs the supervisor on what happened, and even he can't believe it. So, we've got, you know, threatening violent act with the means to carry through. >> Fair enough. Yes. >> So, in my opinion, >> how did she uh what did she say or did she say it to them or did she email or what? >> She said it to them. She got disciplined for I guess talking back. >> Okay. >> And um said something about popping it off or something like that. Edge is working on witness statements so we know exactly what was said. >> Okay. >> Um >> okay. >> Okay. It's a Glock 44 22 >> Yeah. But the pistol itself was right in the uh >> what do you call it? >> Yeah, it was chain load everything. >> That's insane. Why would you say something like that world? Unless Unless you were going to actually carry 22. >> Meanwhile, inside the store, another officer speaks with witnesses, piecing together how it all started. >> You know, I have some medical therapy to talk about. >> Okay, guys. How are you doing? >> Better. >> She just doesn't look like the person that would walk in and say, "I'm going to kill everybody." Hey, >> she's just [music] a very angry, >> angry person. Yeah, she was the loudest in the store, I would say. >> Now, what did she say to you? >> Um, like when like all together is that what happened? >> Well, she came walking up saying how she was all angry and to drive and everything. >> Too angry to drive. >> Yeah. She was in your car first while we were sitting at the [music] center area and she was saying what she always says. She always has a problem with her >> coming on to her because she yells at me and he coaches her, >> right? Usually I was like, "Yeah, that sucks." >> But I I'm looking for every she doesn't recover for it. And it's just >> okay. >> And I was like, "You got you got to deal with your problem. You got to something else like therapy. We all of us have anger issues. All of us have issues. You have to find another way to deal with it than yelling at your boss. You just can't." >> And that's when she just said that she like she either yells at people or she would shoot at me. and that she's the one to tell you she had two gun. Who did she tell she had two guns in? >> Um I previous got a ride from her. So I knew she had a gun box, I believe. >> Okay. >> And she gave me right several times. [music] So I've seen it at least five times. >> Okay. Put that in your report. >> He told me that after when she walked away, and that's when I was like, I need to go tell about this. >> Okay. After putting the puzzle together, the officer heads back to Adrienne. And let's just say he's got a few words she probably doesn't want to hear. >> Like I said, people don't understand me once you [ __ ] I just did it out frustration. >> Yeah, ma'am. You can't do that. >> That's why it express myself. >> Well, you need to find another way to express yourself. >> I can't. Well, then you might need to go talk to somebody because [music] the people that express stuff like that have extreme usually anger issues. >> That's what I have. >> Well, and listen, and those people, as you put it, pop off and do stuff like shoot people in a parking lot. >> Yeah, I've done that kind of >> Well, but listen. But listen, the jump it takes [music] between getting upset and verbally saying, "I'm going to do damage with this firearm," and actually doing that firearm, is much closer than people who [music] don't say anything and just leave or just yell nonsense and then leave. When you make a very [music] tangible threat and then you have the capability of doing that because you do have a gun, >> right? Or no, like do it though. But who? Nobody can know that for sure except you. Right. >> Right. >> So everyone else that is involved believes you can. Right. >> My mother. I'm not going to [music and singing] really do it. >> But your mother's not here. Your mother's not the one you're talking to. So I would highly recommend when all this is said and done, if this is an ongoing issue, how old are you right now? >> 36. >> You're 36. >> Yeah. It's not ongoing for me. So, listen. If you're 36 and having difficulty [music] with this, you need to go talk to a therapist or psychiatrist to figure out another method of [music] releasing this anger. >> When all was said and done, Adrienne's words caught up with her. She was arrested, charged with threatening a violent act, and booked on a $25,000 bond. One bad shift, and a whole new set of [music] problems.
