Step out. >> Hey, turn your face that way. >> Just keep coming. >> Only a fraction of cases ever look like this, but these cases, they're on camera. And the ending, you'll want to stick around for that. It starts like any other evening in Fort Worth, Texas until May 19th, 2019 when a nightmare unfolds in broad daylight. A mother's scream, a gray car, and her 8-year-old daughter ripped from her arms. >> Help me. Help me, please. >> With no time to think, mom did the only thing she could. She dialed 911. >> What is the location that you're talking about? Hello. A car. A great car. Just drove off. I think I handicapped. He just kidnapped my daughter. Okay. Me off the street. Kidnapped my daughter. Please help me. Oh my god. My daughter was kidnapped. I'm going to die. Hello. You need to find her now. He is the scary man. He's arousing. Let's try and give up and he grabbed us. He grabbed her, drove the car. I hopped in the car. He pushed me out of the car and he has her. Please. I can't let her be gone. Please, please. >> What kind of vehicle were they in, man? >> A great vehicle. It's a great vehicle. >> Thanks to her mother's quick call and a neighbor's security footage, officers zeroed in on 51-year-old Michael Webb. Multiple tips soon pointed to a hotel in Forest Hills where he was keeping the child. Police wasted no time moving in fast. stuff. >> If this guy's looking out the windows, I'm not trying to let him see that we're rolling around. >> Can you get me in real quick? Do you have the room information for room 333? I need it fast. >> Matt does the description. [Music] Hey, open the door. >> For police department, open the door. >> Officers tracked Webb to room 333. The door was sealed, but that wasn't going to stop them. >> Open door. >> Open it now. >> Open it. >> Hands. Let me see your hands. Step out of here. Step out. >> Step out. >> Get on the ground. Chill. >> Get on the ground. >> Chill. Chill. Chill. Blood. Blood. >> Blood and bed, man. Hey, here she is. >> Got her. We got her. We got her. >> We got her. >> Hey, buddy. Yeah. [Music] >> She's in custody. >> We have her. >> We need an EMT. Get Get Medstar. >> Get my clothes. >> No. No. Don't worry about your clothes. Don't worry about your clothes. >> We got a towel. >> We got a towel. >> Do we have a >> Can we cover her up? >> Can we cover her up? >> Yeah. >> With something. Here you go, baby. >> Can we get her out? >> Come here. Come here. [Music] >> Come on, sweetheart. >> You're okay? >> Yeah. >> Be safe. We got you. >> You're going to be okay. We got her. Hold the door. >> The girl was found safe in a laundry basket. Webb was convicted in minutes and sentenced to life. Now to Salt Lake City, June 17th, 2019. Student McKenzie Luick vanishes after meeting a man online. Her trail leads to 31-year-old Ayula Aai, who quickly volunteers for questioning. >> Let me just go through this. You you called me you afterwards and you showed me some screenshots of your phone, right? >> Yes. >> You're here. You said you wanted to come down and show us some stuff and everything. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, we didn't call you down here. You're not under arrest. You're not being detained. You can leave anytime you want to. Okay. >> It just doesn't make I just want to I want to get to the root of it, too. Yeah. >> Because when you said my IP is showing, that means something is wrong. >> Okay. So are you you're still willing to talk to us and show us the thing right? >> Um I only want to share two thing with you. >> Okay. >> So that's their seeking arrangement. So if you see some of them are even in Seattle >> and some of them so it's like even some of them are in Philippines so I have PTSD and anxiety. I just need to talk to someone whenever I'm alone. Ajai painted himself as just another guy on a sugar dating app. Sure, he knew McKenzie, but according to him, she blocked him before they could ever meet. >> I was going to bring the whole hard drive of the old security camera, but my lawyer told me that because you mentioned that the IP and everything that I should hold back. >> Okay. >> And she asked me to be careful what I share with you because then she said and it doesn't make sense for my IP to be. Police linked Aai's IP to texts sent to McKenzie and cell data showed both phones in the same spot that night. His chat with detectives didn't help. By July 26th, they had a warrant for his home. >> Yeah, they didn't give me to search warrant. I authorized it before >> and then when they said it now, >> can I borrow your phone then to call my lawyer? >> I'm going to give you her phone number right now. You remember her name? That >> Susanna. >> Oh, thank you, sir. Clear in this room. Clear in the bathroom. I'll go through the kitchen. Basement >> clear over here. >> Salt Lake Police. Anybody down here? >> Hello. >> Salt Lake Police, can you come out please? police. >> Hi, please. >> Should I get my No, nobody's here. Just chill. Can I get my card or should I just Yeah, I just got here from on Tuesday. >> Okay. I'm going to be working at the airport. >> Do you have Grab your wallet? We have So, we have We have some detectives upstairs. Let's walk upstairs. Let's double check that real quick. And then I probably got no issue with that. But let's just let's double check with that. If you want to walk up there with my partner real quick scared me, man. Everything's clear. Sorry. I should have [ __ ] Officers searched every corner of Ajai's home but came up empty. Strangely, he stayed calm like nothing was wrong. >> Where'd he go to? >> He's right there. >> Okay. So, it's 100%. There's no one else in there. Nothing during the clearing stuck out 100%. Neither is [Music] [Applause] >> You want to sit in the shade somewhere better, man? That look like a comment. >> You're free to go. You want except the house or the car or the ground. [Applause] >> So, we're going to run this phone back. No house, no car, no garage, no rest of the property. See if we can get the trailer. >> Then came a lead. A neighbor recalled Ajai's late night backyard fire. Detectives followed her home to see what he left behind. >> Well, I really didn't like there's burn stuff just like paper in that side, the yellow one. >> Is it okay if we come back there and look? >> Is that okay? [Applause] Hey, Sergeant. You good for a minute? >> Nobody's coming to your house at all. I can't hear about [Applause] [Music] >> Are the cops back here at all? >> I know there is breaking at 11:30. We didn't. See, there's some paper there. Highway 64. And then here's some more. Well, that's >> more out there. But does that look like a bone or >> No, it doesn't make a bone. >> Huh? >> Definitely. >> When asked about the fire, Aai claimed he had roasted a goat for soup. Funny thing, no goat bones, no goat fur, not even a spoon of soup was found. His online activity, however, left plenty of clues, so officers escorted him to the station. >> What's going on, man? >> So, detectives are ready to talk to you about everything that's going on real fast. So, if you want to come, I'll give you right back to the house real quick. >> But there's Fox News over there. >> I know. I'm going to drive you back in my car. It's a Camry. So, >> but >> we'll stay We'll stay away from the news. >> Yeah, we're not going to go by the news. >> I don't want my face on the news. >> I will do that so it doesn't Okay, so stand up real quick. Good. We're just going to >> Oh, yeah. >> Are you guys arresting me or something? >> No, no, no. Stand up. >> Then why are you >> You're going to be detained for a little bit. >> You're being detained, but just for a second. Okay. I got to put you in handcuffs just while we're driving. >> Per policy. We're going to >> We're just going to go talk to the detectives for a little bit. >> Why did you detain me? >> Because you need to talk to the detectives and I need to transport you back. So, my policy says every time someone's in my car, they will wear handcuffs. >> So, that's why they're so they can come right back. >> We're probably not going to take We'll take you to another spot so you're not by the news. >> Okay. How did the news find out? >> The same thing. >> I just want to make sure there's no weapons. I'm just going to leave that right there. >> Aai wasn't exactly eager to face another round of questioning. But the detective was determined to press harder and uncover the truth. >> Had a week and a half now to prepare. And we have been very busy because I care about McKenzie. >> I care >> and I want her. I think you did care about her. I agree. And I I know that there's more for you to tell me and you're holding back and I don't understand why. AJ, I just told you that your phone records and the location put you up at the meat. Do you think honestly and expect me to believe that you ended that conversation and somehow you and her and her location end up in the exact same spot? >> Oh, I'm not doubting you. If I see that too, if I'm in your case, I would be asking myself, what are you asking me right now? >> It's not a miraculous question. >> Yeah, I I agree with you. Stuff doesn't just happen. >> No. >> Yes, I agree with you. I'm telling you to explain that and so far you have not. >> How do I explain something I don't know? Are you saying you don't know or you don't remember? Because those are two different things. AJ >> Aai was released after questioning, but detectives kept digging. In his yard, they uncovered McKenzie's remains. A SWAT team arrested him, and he later revealed the rest of her remains in Logan Canyon. He plead guilty and got life in prison. >> Crime of aggravated murder, crime of abuse or desecration of a human body. >> Our next case, 25-year-old Taylor Shabus, caught on camera attacking her own attorney during trial for the death of her boyfriend Shad Theion. It all began on February 23rd, 2022 with a strange 911 call. >> County Public Safety, how may I help you? Um, yes. I lived an officer at 829 Stony Brook. Um, girlfriend just woke me up. Swears that she found her severed head of her son in a basement. >> Okay. Can you repeat the address, sir? >> Uh, 829 Stony Brook. >> Okay. Tell me what's happening there again. >> I have no clue what's happening. My girl square said she's found her severed head of her son in the basement. >> Did you go down there? >> In a bucket. I went down. I can't tell what I my legs up kind of freaked out. >> It was after 2:00 a.m. when Green Bay police showed up. A quick glance around and yeah, this was definitely not a prank call. Did you see this? >> I opened the towel. I picked up the towel and dropped it cuz I don't know what the And I had bad vision and she's like, "Is it what the [ __ ] is >> You want to stay with those two? always going to see >> right there. >> Look right there button where it's on my Inside the house, officers made a chilling discovery. A bucket in the basement, a bloodstained mattress, a pillow, and a chain. All signs pointed to one person, Taylor business, and police knew exactly where to look. >> Nothing. [Music] >> Hey, um, is this blood? Does this look like blood to you? Or am I just tripping? Bloody footprint. You see this right here? Could possibly be wrong. [Music] Hi. >> Hi, Taylor. How's it going? Officer Russell with the crew police department. Just make sure you got nothing on here. Just put your ass back. You got on your hands. No, >> on your hands. Okay. Yeah, we're going to have to >> What apartment? >> What apartment are you in? >> Did you come up here? >> On the double. >> Which apartment? >> One. One. That is what they came back to. Taylor, a married mom, had been having an affair with Shad. That night, the two mixed meth and pills, once caught red-handed, she didn't hold back, freely telling officers exactly what she'd done. Is that also when you um used the >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Did you have with this body at all points or any type of contact? You know, obviously the stuff >> I grinded on. I put the >> You grinded on? >> Yeah. Did you ever put his train on him? >> Yeah. >> Did you see before that you performed a roll on him? >> Yeah. >> Okay. That was after he was dead. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Then he got he was like half while I I was supposed >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. >> Was that part of playing with him or >> That is part of playing with that was part of playing with Did you >> Actually, I I was just I was severing his head while I was doing that too. >> The pair spent the day high and ended up in the basement. But instead of things staying romantic, Taylor pulled out a chain and turned the night into something far more sinister. >> New York day. >> Um I don't know. Like I I was kind of like dozing off like letting you know and out. >> He was dead already. >> He was dead. >> Was his head still on? >> No, I took that off. That was the first thing I took off. >> Okay. I wanted to have >> What about the rest of his body? >> I didn't even take it. And then um the rest of his body, it's um [ __ ] I don't even know what it is. It's in a big blue container, you know, big container. >> It's like a big Tupperware. It's not Tupperware, but it's a Tupperware. cover container like storage. >> Yeah, one of those. And then um >> that's where the body parts are in or I thought just they're in a black bag. >> They are. >> Taylor didn't just stop after the crime. She went completely off the rails, leaving a gruesome mess behind. Later in court, she played the not guilty by reason of insanity card. But when the evidence stacked up, she proved her point in the most unhinged way possible. In the end, Taylor faced charges of homicide, abuse of a body, and assault. The jury didn't hesitate. She was handed life in prison with no chance of parole. But then came 33-year-old William Mosingo. In October 2022, he took 23-year-old Khloe Jones and hid her in an acquaintance's garage. For four days, nobody noticed until the homeowners finally did and called police the next morning. >> What's going on? How do we get in? Can we get in the door? >> We'll have to keep it safe. I don't really care. I don't care. My parents are here. I can't help. I just love this camera. He used to live here so he can tap into anything. >> But we have cameras up for other reasons. >> I got you. >> You know he's in there for a fact. >> I know for a fact. Can you take your kick? I >> swear to God. Go ahead. Please. I don't know what's wrong with this girl. >> Oh, there's a girl in there with him. >> Yes. I told them that he's told that there's a girl in there. She's very slim. My husband said he didn't really get over look at her. He's yelling at her. >> Her face is she can't see out of her eyes. >> Okay. >> So, this is why I'm nervous. This is why I didn't tell him and I don't even know if that's you. >> You know 100%. You know 100%. >> The homeowner said Mosingo was an old acquaintance, but the friendship ended months ago. They didn't know he'd been hiding out in their garage. Police now had what they needed, Khloe's location. William, this is the Akran Police Department. Come out, man. The garage is surrounded. Come on out with your hands up. If you don't come out, we will be sending the canine in to get you. So, this is your warning. Come out now so you don't get bit by the canine. Again, William, come out with your hands up. The Akran Police Department. If you do not come out, we'll make entry with the canine. William, this is Officer Thornton with the Akan Police Department. Come out with your hands up or at least come to the door and talk to us. We don't want this to end badly. Come out with your hands up so we don't have to send the K9 in to get you. If the K9 comes in, you will get bit. Come on, William. Come to the door. We're not going anywhere. The man inside had already served time three separate times for kidnapping. One thing was clear. That door wasn't giving way the easy way. >> Yeah, that'll fit. >> We've gave multiple announcements, but we'll do it again. William, this is the Akran Police Department. This is your last chance. Come out now with your hands up or we'll be sending the K9 in to apprehend you. You will get bit by the dog. William, last chance. >> Make sure all up. >> Yeah. >> Better come out. >> Come out now with your hands up. William, come on out. >> William, come out now. Akan police. >> Come out. >> Come out now. >> Nothing in your hands. >> Nothing in your hands. >> Now. Now. >> Hurry up. Get it, buddy. [Music] >> Down or not. >> Can you see him? >> Get out of here now. Come out now. Come out now, >> bro. You're going to get in a second. You better come the right out now. >> A lot of guns going on right now. >> Everything out of your hands. Hey, >> face that way. >> Just keep coming. Watch your step right there. >> There's a female there. >> Come on out here. >> You got anything? He's going to poke me. Stick me standing. Nice. Kloe wasn't just locked in that garage. She'd been badly hurt. When officers found her, she had severe injuries and needed urgent care. Mosingo landed in jail on a $100,000 bond, facing charges from assault to kidnapping. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars. [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
